It seems that Italy has been on the minds of people recently! A couple of my friends have expressed an interest in travelling there, and so I guess this means that there's a group trip forming...

Which is great, really, what with Italy being a place I've never been to. The villas in Italy that they've been looking at seem nice too! But the big problem is that I know we wont be able to decide what to do. Art? History? Eating, eating eating? Drinking the coffee? Explore the amazing countrys...

I really want to travel away for the winter - if there's still time. My friend was thinking of getting one of the villas in Portugal and I think that's a good bet.

but really I want to open up my options and see what I can do!!

During the Easter holidays I returned to my family home in a sleepy village not so far from Bath. After a Sundays worth of sharing stories of the past term with my parents and kid sister (the latter of which was censored, of course) I decided to catch up with some of my old friends. All but one had gone back to uni, and we realised that we’d have to make our own fun. Down to the travel-agents we went. First mistake...

So I was looking on CNN this morning and saw this report of a man who fell into Mt. Saint Helens. This guy fell over 1500 feet but some how they believe he is still alive. One of the helicopter pilots claims he saw the man moving. They are going to try and rescue him again today.

It is now the 17th here in Sri Lanka, which means I only have 10 days left in this wonderful country. So I decided it would be fitting to put together a top 10 list of things that have been going on lately to commemorate the milestone.  10. I now have a little brother. My team lead has a little 2 year-old and he is totally in love with me. He is part Pilipino and he calls me Kuya which means brother in Tagalong. 9. I recently saw my first gem pit. It was really cool to see how gems are actu...

Ok...I know I am a foodie and have travelled quite a bit and been to lot many places but the one city which is always an extension of mine is undoubtedly New York. I am proud to wear my Nike NY cap and cheer my Basketball team without fail. I have been to almost all the food joints, restaurants, pubs and bars located in Manhattan and I must say they all are pretty good considering this age of twittering and Face book wherein if you fail once your name pops up on all the social networking website...

My wife and I just got back from an all inclusive trip to Mexico.  It was great, and even better, it was free!  She had helped with a financial campaign for the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and because of how much she raised, was able to take me for free.  The stay was short, only 4 days and 3 nights, but it was fantastic.  The ocean is so healing.  Just being out in the sunshine and feeling the warm, ocean breeze is enough to keep you going for a while.   ...

It is amazing to see how Delhi manages to be both a traditional as well as a modern city. If you had any doubts, just try to compare places around Old Delhi with Connaught place or the Chanakyapuri region of the New Delhi. It comes in complete con...
Just a quick reminder with the increasing prevelance of all sorts of nifty devices, don't ever take your debit card on the road. Use a credit card. While some banks do provide a measure of protection against theft, if your debit card is skimmed and your account drained, you are likely going to be up a creek for a long while. Debit cards do NOT have the same types of consumer protections in place as do credit cards. Use a credit card, then pay it off when you get home.

You won't see me around here for a week since I will be at DISNEY WORLD!!!  Woot!

We always promised my daughter that we would take her when she turned 10.  She turns 10 on Saturday, so off we go!

I have never been to either Disney park, so this is really exciting.  This is also the first full week vacation that I have taken in over 13 years, so I'm pretty geeked.

I'm goin' to Disney!  I'm goin' to Disney!!!!!!!

So, nightshifts it is again! this time though im saving for the trip to india. Which I must admit really helps to have that kind of drive to get the money because I know that soon enough doing nightshifts is going to start consuming my soul and forever placing me in the twilight zone.Even though you sleep the same amount waking up between 5pm-7pm can be abit disorientating at first. Its like you've missed an entire day. With a day shift where once you come home y...

Okay, I'll bore you with another Spain adventure before putting up my newest article - biting political satire!  Yeah, babeh.  It's hott.  Plus, it's nice to actually be writing again.  But hey - this is pretty okay, too.

I awaken, full of energy after a good night's rest, albeit populated with strange renaissance visions.  I quickly bathe myself in the communal washroom and throw on some clothes.

Barcelona.

We woke up bright and early, showered quickly, and dashed down to the train station in order to catch the 7:00am train.  Sleep sloughed from my eyes like scales as we neared the city, the sun beginning to crest along the water, a carefully constructed vision of pastel pinks, rosy reds, deep oranges and the consummate yellow.

We had ar...
