The proposed GAS TAX RELIEF is more fluff than help.  The figures for the basic consumer, not truck drivers or companies that drive many miles, range from $30 to $70 during the proposed summer break would not help the average consumer, I know, every little bit helps.

Let's look at the big picture. The state highways are the big reciepent of most of these funds and one governor has said that his state, and it is a sparcely populated one, would lose approximately 60 million dollars just du...
I feel we are the most generous, giving nation on the planet, yet the most hated at the same time. I am old enough to remember when just being an American was a status symbol, now it is reached the point of something to be ashamed of. When did this happen? How did this happen?

We are always the first nation to respond with help when another nation has some kind of disaster, we give free medications, free health care to those that have none, feed and house those to lazy to work for their own s...

A recession is defined as negative economic growth in two or more economic quarters.  Well today the latest numbers came out and the first quarter of the year showed a 0.6 economic growth.  Not a tremendous number there, but certainly not in the negatives, and shows once again this so-called recession has been fueled more by the media and democrats, than reality.

Of course today, watch the MSM headlines.  They have already started their negative spin on it.

Our litle darling Hillary Clinton, the savior of us all, is behind Hussein by 125 Delegates, but when it come to pork, you know those little items Senators add to bill for their own state, so their popularity will soar she leads all contenders, even Robert Byrd the grand master of pork is no match for Hillary, her total so far 2.3 BILLION, Hussein IS SECOND WITH A MERE 780 MILLION what a piker compared to Hillary. and John McCain this year? O, that's right zero .

Now who do we want leading ou...

I don't know exactly who I'm talking to. When I'm writing I never know who I'm writing to, but I imagine I know who I wish I'm writing too. And I have a belief that in the magical act of writing I may even create the audience I seek. If I write and write you will be born. I believe you are already born and my fingers on the keyboards might be a song that you hear with your super super inner ear.    How do I see you? You are gay and at the end of gayness, to a place where that word...

Here's my ideas for a tax system that would make it easy on everyone, and put some balance back into our economy. No income or property tax, with a handful of exceptions (say for $1M+ salaries, with adjustment for inflation). Just sales tax. You can invest, spend money on necessities, and you avoid these taxes (or get reduced rates for investing in some forms). Then, that way, one can get the necessities at rock-bottom price, enjoy a house, enjoy a modest income, and pretty mu...

Yes, say the democrats that we saved them, when Saddam insane threatened them, at great expense and they should repay us with more production to bring the price of oil down. The president must do something or else! Reality check, the democrats have spent the last 7 years alienating our Arab friends and weakening us in there eyes as they went on a rampage attacking the president and his policies. These nations respect strength and our president is the United States, weaken him and you weaken...

Cactoblasta would make the best president for three reasons. He will get respect from foreign nations, he has all the necessary experience, and he will lead the nation through the turbulent times we face.

Can these concepts co-exist? As we speak, the Congress of the United States is debating what is called "Real ID". It's a national ID card system. The bill says that states are allowed to opt out of the program, but if they do, their state Drivers' licenses will not be accepted for ID on airlines, interstate bus or train travel.

There are people and politicians who want certain people imbedded with S-Chip against their will. Kids, convicted sex offenders, illegal aliens.. etc. There are other...

I am proud to be an American, but what I hate is when I hear people complaining about having this or that. Go south 300 or so miles, and you'l find a social system with an insane amount of poor and a handful of rich people. The rich use the poor to gain money. The poor work for weeks to feed their families. They always work, because if they stop even an hour, they will not have enough money to continue. So, America, quit yer whinin'.
Positive reinforcement used to be the new best way to get things accomplished.  The concept was, that you can establish a better outlook among people by rewarding them for what they do right instead of punishing them for not doing enough.

It is a good concept that used to be one of the hallmarks of what it meant to be liberal in America.  Enlightened Americans find the good in others, instead of concetrating on what's wrong with them.  Back when I was well on my way to bec...

I am an American! I am not a black American or an African American I was born in this nation, I fought for this nation as did my father, I cherish my father’s official Marine Corps photograph of him on Iwo Jima while fighting was still going on. Unlike my father I failed to remember to duck in a fire fight so I came home with an extra orifice and a bad heart, and the ungrateful Corps kicked me out long before I was ready to leave. I was out of work with no prospects and a wife and two young...
Career politicians use the word, "BILLIONS" In a casual manner. A billion is a difficult number to wrap my brain around and I assume a difficult number for you to wrap your brain around too!.

However let me put a BILLION INTO A LITTLE PERSPECTIVE FOR YOU ALL.

A BILLION seconds ago it was 1959.

A BILLION minutes ago Jesus Christ was still alive!

A BILLION hours ago our ancestors were still living in the stone age!

A BILLION years ago Evolutionist tell us no form of humanity walked ...

Anyone who thinks more taxes for this government is a good idea, and will somehow "help" anything has to be insane.

A government report says federal employees wasted millions of taxpayer dollars by charging fees for Internet dating, tailor-made suits, lingerie and lavish dinners on government credit cards.

The Associated Press on Tuesday obtained the report by the Government Accountability Office. The report reviewed card spending across the federal government from 2005 to 2006. It found t...
