I apologize for not having this done yesterday, and for not having more than one to look at this week. I had a sick grandbaby last week and we had some really severe weather yesterday which prevented me from turning on my computer. That said, here's the one review I have for this week:
I have a bunch of really beautiful Wolf artwork that I use for my walls, but there are very few that I can remember where I found them.
Fortunately, one exceptional piece of work is signed and wa...

Been in the mood for earth colors this week, so I indulged and downloaded ERRO by Imzadi .
This blind is earthy, and neatly designed. The start menu and buttons are stylized arrows with the Start button animation creating a swirl with the arrow.
I enjoyed the way the Start menu was shaded to look almost like sunglasses, giving it an almost seventies feel to it (you who were there remember how popular the smoked g...
I thought I'd talk a little about some of the other program skins available at Wincustomize , this week.
So today I loade...
One of the things I want to stress prior to continuing this article, is , there are some elderly skins that seriously dislike new technology. It is with a stern warning to back up your stuff first, I give you this week's reviews.
Having said that, I want to tell you there are some really neat skins in the libraries that no one see's anymore. Some of those skins will work just fine on your system with the newest windowblinds build. (I also warn, I have XP sp2 , don't know what ...
Here are a few of the skins I've tried in the last week. I've documented them each day I used and saved the information to post to you here in one lump sum.
Well I felt kind of beachy today. It's sunny and I live close to the beach, and I can smell the salt in the air today. Very invigorating!
I decided today I was going to hunt through my skins for something I've already downloaded, and found seadream by Cathe Well Iconpackager was having some issues and I figured I'd redownload the ...
A couple years ago I posted my second IconPackage, "Shut Up And Kiss Me". Since I only have two, it would be silly to say it's my favorite, but it is special to me. Imade a 'His' and 'Hers' version of the package and was pretty proud of it. I still am.
In the few years I have been skinning I have been fortunate not to have anything ripped. I've joked that it's simply because my stuff isn't good enough. Well, apparently, that has changed. Yesterday it was brought to my attenti...
In a February 27 posting under Technology News, the Computer Shopper site has an article entitled "5 Desktop Enhancements You Should Definitely Try." #3 is Stardock's CursorFX.
Doesn't it seem like this Friday took extra long to get here, or is it like that every week? Well anyways, it is Friday and it's time for another edition of TWiS. This was a big week as Object Desktop 2008 was released, and remember, anyone with an active subscription was automatically updated for free. If you haven't seen it already, go check out the latest edition of This Month in Dreams.

Another month has come and gone, and Summer is rapidly approaching. Typically, that is a slower time for skinning, but the way things have been going we might just keep this momentum going! Now for the past month or so you have heard me talk about the 3rd WinCustomize Skinning Contest.
Well the contest is over, and the winners have been announced. Congrats to everyone who entered, all the entries were outstanding and hope to see more from everyone.
Now for this wee...
The end of the month is near....again! Time goes by so fast these days, and it seems hard to keep up with all the skins coming in. Good thing you have TWiS to look forward to every week.
Speaking of the skins on WinCustomize, be sure to check out the latest article and screencast on navigating the WinCustomize galleries.

Just about at the halfway point and we are still going strong. Yesterday was the 7th Birthday of WinCustomize, and I sometimes wonder how many skins I have downloaded and used over the years. This week we also saw the release of the DeskScapes 2.0 preview which brings .dreams to all of Vista.

I am very pleased with the response to the recent screencasts. I guess actually showing the features on a video is better than just looking at a screenshot. I have a list of topics I want to cover in both screencasts and articles sitting in my task list in Outlook, but since I do these for the community, I am seeking your input.
What tutorials and/or videos would you like to see? Please be as specific as possible and although I can't guarantee everyone will be done, I will t...
The first week of the month, and up to this point in the year, the submissions to WinCustomize have been fantastic. Everything from .dreams, to wallpapers, to WindowBlinds skins have been looking great. I hope this momentum keeps going into the spring and summer, which is typically a slower time for skinning.
We still have the WinCustomize Community Contest III going on. Time is running out so be sure to get your submissions in before the deadline.
Now for this wee...
Last day of the month, and it's a Friday! Well the week is finally over, so we can close it out with some of the skins I handpicked from the galleries to feature to all you great people. Before we begin, let me put out another reminder of the WinCustomize Community Contest that is currently going on.
You can see a current list of submitted contest skins here. There is still a few weeks to go so I would encourage as many people to enter as they can.
Now for this wee...
