This blind is earthy, and neatly designed. The start menu and buttons are stylized arrows with the Start button animation creating a swirl with the arrow.

One of the things I want to stress prior to continuing this article, is , there are some elderly skins that seriously dislike new technology. It is with a stern warning to back up your stuff first, I give you this week's reviews.

In a February 27 posting under Technology News, the Computer Shopper site has an article entitled "5 Desktop Enhancements You Should Definitely Try." #3 is Stardock's CursorFX.

Doesn't it seem like this Friday took extra long to get here, or is it like that every week?  Well anyways, it is Friday and it's time for another edition of TWiS.  This was a big week as Object Desktop 2008 was released, and remember, anyone with an active subscription was automatically updated for free. Another month has come and gone, and Summer is rapidly approaching.  Typically, that is a slower time for skinning, but the way things have been going we might just keep this momentum going!  Now for the past month or so you have heard me talk about the 3rd WinCustomize Skinning Contest. 

Well the contest is over, and the winners have been announced.  Congrats to everyone who entered, all the entries were outstanding and hope to see more from everyone.

I am very pleased with the response to the recent screencasts.  I guess actually showing the features on a video is better than just looking at a screenshot.  I have a list of topics I want to cover in both screencasts and articles sitting in my task list in Outlook, but since I do these for the community, I am seeking your input.

The first week of the month, and up to this point in the year, the submissions to WinCustomize have been fantastic.  Everything from .dreams, to wallpapers, to WindowBlinds skins have been looking great.  I hope this momentum keeps going into the spring and summer, which is typically a slower time for skinning.

We still have the WinCustomize Community Contest III going on.  Time is running out so be sure to get your submissions in before the deadline.
