Hello!

I'm sure it's user error but not sure what I should do to fix my issue at this time.

My issue is as follows...

Stardock water dream is running on my vista ultimate 32bit machine (which runs fine) except one thing: when changing the background image from 'sand' to anything else, deskscapes or vista does not retain the new image i have selected and always reverts back to sand upon restart/reboot.

Have I missed something glaringly obviouse?

I've had Vista for just about a month now and I just installed DeskScapes yesterday. Why did I wait so long to do this?

I have uploaded a Dream and did not make it through Moderation due to dream did not work on two test computers.

My Question is
Is there a codec or somthing else that I need to make Dream work on other Computers?

The Dream I made was a Avi that converted in to .Dream format. It works on My computer so I have know clue why it wont work on other computers. Once it makes it to .Dream format you would think it would run on all computers running DeskScape.

Please give me advice if I am missi...

Hi mates,I am an Object Desktop subscriber and when i am trying to install DeskScapes from Stardock central it keep saying that DeskScapes requires Windows Vista or above (?) to be intalled. I'm running Windows Vista Home premium. And all i want is the Beta version Stardock announced a couple of months ago. Can anyone help me on this please! Thanks

I was just wondering if dreamscene is not supposed to work with windowblinds applied,my dreamscene shuts down if I apply any other windowblind besides windows aero.It says dreamscene has encountered an error and needs to close?  

I really love the way that SoundPackager, CursorFX, and WB copies a skin into the appropriate directory when it's executed.  Is this a feature that DeskScapes can do too?

This application allows you to take a video file (or several of them in case of a trigger-based Dream) and "compile" it into a .Dream file. This Dream file also contains other information such as the name of the author, a website URL, copyright and permissions info, and a preview image.

Does anyone know what the differences are between the native player and the internal player for video dreams under deskscapes? Are there any benefits to running a dream with the internal player (I'm not sure, but it seems to run with slightly less cpu usage, although it also stretches the dream in a weird way when I select stretch with cropping)?

I've installed the dream pack that shows up under deskscapes on SDC, but when I try to click on any of the three dreams (desktop earth, water dream, watercolor dreams) it gives me a message that "content activation was unsuccessful. I could use some direction. I'm running Vista Ultimate with the following specs:

Intel core2 quad 2.40ghz
2gig mem
32-bit
Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS (newest drivers)

I've downloaded and installed Deskscapes 2.0 and I can run the dynamic dreams just fine
but the video dreams just make my background black with no visuals. I've purchased blissful and stellar dream but can make any use of them.

Hi Just wanted to report a slight bug with this great app.
When I rename files on my desktop while DeskScapes is running this happens to the backgrounds:
They go really bright and unreadable so it makes it difficult to read what you are typing.
Will this be fixed in a future release?  

I've never really gotten any good respose to this. I'll provide some links to pics to make it more obvious.

Previews of Dreamscenes are visible in the Dreamscene selection dialog as in the screenshot below:



Previews of Deskscapes are only icons and do not show any type of preview making it extremely difficult to select a Deskscape as shown below:



Is this expected behavior? I've tried reinstalling numerous times.

I cannot see previews in the window to select different dreams I have downloaded for deskscapes.  Previews for dreamscene animated wallpapers appear,  but when trying to select a dream for deskscapes, only a generic icon appears.  Kind of a pain to have to cycle through them to display them on the desktop behind the selection window.

 Anyone else see this?
