While no official word was sent to me regarding the ban being lifted, upon trying to log in yet again to my account, I noticed the ban description had been changed from "Permaban" to "Banned until 5/17".
Im sure no one really cares a whole lot, but just figured I'd mention it anyway. I'm pretty happy about it. Eve fits my lifestyle a bit better than other MMO's at this point, since I'm working full time again, and have little time to play. Since Eve's skill system is...
Another case of the customer knows best. Recently you may have heard about how a intrusive form of copy protection was going to be included with Mass Effect and Spore that constantly connected to the internet (at the rate of every 10 days) just to check your serial was valid (with no check = no play).
There was a huge uproar as a consequence, with many potential buyers saying that they would just simply not buy their title (or even pirate it on purpose) just to get rid of this major intrusion...
I saw a link for a 21 day trial to Eve, and decided that was too good to pass up. I've subbed to the game before a couple times, and although it got boring after a while, its still not bad to play for a month or two at a time.
Just in case anyone isn't familiar with Eve. Its a ruthless sandbox space MMO, filled with piracy, player politics on a level you may not believe, espionage, treachery, deceit, profiteering, and any other despicable act a human being is capable of in a freef...
Elona is a wonderful Japanese (with an English option) rogue-a-like (CRPG-style game with similarities to Rogue, a sub-breed of roguelikes) with wonderful graphics, music, and gameplay. It has a day-night system, weather system, pet system, and many more small wonderful delights too numerous for me to mention.
It's really a wonderful game, with my only complaint being the leveled town missions. Go get it now! Five @'s.

Now, I'm a fan of overhead shooters. Almost all the games I've ever made (like 60% of them, and 90% of the playable ones) are overhead shooters. They are awesome, simple, and have lots of room for improvement.
Anyways, RIP 3 takes the generic top-down shooter and adds light RPG elements. You acquire new weapons (off the field) and skills (through level up). Over time you go from a weak version of Death to a near-omnipotent Grim Reaper. It has a "Flower Mode" for those who hate blood (though...
As fantastic as Company of Heroes is, one must always be on the lookout for modifications which provide a different or even more fun experience.
A squad of fallschrimjager move up the road covered by armour and artillery. Normandy 44 is one such mod. It has been around for quite sometime now (with previous releases on the original Company of Heroes). The latest version for Opposing Fronts incorporates the new game elements as well as being a slight redesign ...
I recently played through the story mode in Snapshot Adventures: The Secret of Bird Island, Gametunnel's 2007 Casual Game of the Year award winner. The game was created by Large Animal Games. This game, like many so-called "casual" games is clearly aimed at kids, but the gameplay will also appeal to adults. The idea is that you are travelling around the country, meeting with acquaintances of your grandfather, a renowned bird photographer, and attempting to unravel the circumstances sur...
Stellar Frontier is an awesome, if outdated, space-combat game by Stardock. This article is a humble request to bring it back. Try putting it on the XBox Live arcade and PSN and re-releasing it for PC with minor updates (just engine, not gameplay or graphics), and it'd do awesome in the market.
So, Stardock, please bring back Stellar Frontier.
Goliath is an awesome indie freeware game taking place in a bleak landscape. It pits a small team of players against a huge behemoth dedicated to ending the existence of humanity. Vehicular combat at its best. Five @'s.
It's only bad for its lack of maps, and internet multiplayer (use Hamachi and you have no problems).
The article link leads to a dungeon I randomly generated for Morrowind and put in in Seyda Neen. I'll update with a picture later sometime, showing the actual location of the hatch. It's many levels, and made to allow one to have a dungeon experience similar to other hack-and-slash games that Morrowind lacked. I called it Arg Domurg (crappy name, sure, but pseudo-Daedric and really easy to come up with), and published it on Filefront. Go get it!
I've never been one for serious racing games. I guess its mainly because its hard to enjoy them using a keyboard on a PC, and the console systems I own are all Nintendo which means I don't really have a chance to play them there either.
Then for some reason I had the desire to try and play some more racing games. Starting with Trackmania Nations Forever, I soon desired to try something a little more realistic. Soon after purchasing my X360 wireless controller for windows (since I had some exp...
I finished Prey recently. It may be that in my old age I have developed a short attention span (I blame my wife), but unlike many other reviewers, I really felt as though the game wore out its proverbial welcome, like the friend or family member that you're very fond of who visits for Christmas but won't take a hint that you're ready to go to bed.
The story revolves around a Cherokee named Tommy who is tired of life on the rez and has nothing but contempt for his heritage. Tommy's grandfather...

Stardock is pleased to announce that Galactic Civilizations II: Twilight of the Arnor has gone into final gamma testing. The expansion pack to the critically acclaimed space strategy game, Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords, completes the Dread Lord saga with the return of the powerful Precursor civilization, the Arnor.
Arguably the most comprehensive expansion pack in strategy game history, Galactic Civilizations II: Twilight of the Arnor has more new features and content than Galactic Civilizations II had over the original.
A labor of love, Twilight of the Arnor is nearly complete. This week, we are putting it through final gamma testing as lots of content and goodies that were held back during the public beta are integrated in, tested, polished, etc.
Griffon Legend is a wonderful Zelda-esque dark action RPG. It's free, and plays very smoothly. Its music is dark and intriguing, its graphics are wonderful, and all-in-all, it's a five @ game. Basically hack through enemies, level up, beat boss, collect items, use them, and try to survive alone against a lot of angry foes. All in all, a good, if rather unfufilling for those less amused than me, experience. I've played it a long time ago, and rediscovered it today. A good coffe...
