Recently, Stardock released The Political Machine 2016, which lets you run your own political campaign and see if you have what it takes to win the Presidency of the United States. Besides being a fun game to play, it also has a cool Metaverse feature that takes some of the data from the games and lets us view various stats, such as the top winning candidates.

See the 'Exit Polls' here.

Last week during the New Hampshire primary, I made a quick post about the top two winning c...

I’ve been making the journey from Michigan to San Francisco for literally 23 years now.  I know San Fran better than I know the downtown areas around here.

Second Street in San Fran is a location I have become very familiar with over the decades.  And now I go for the first time in a long long long while.

I have mixed feelings about it.   On the one hand, I do enjoy showing off our software and games and there’s the opportunity to see old friends.  But on the o...

We have a good post going about what games you played in 2015, so lets continue and find out what games you are looking forward to in 2016. While it's still early in the year, I have just a few I'm looking to grab.

Hitman - I've been a fan of the series for a while, and although I'm not sure about their release method, I have already pre-ordered.

Ashes of the Singularity - I mentioned this in the other thread as I've enjoyed it even in Early Access, and I'm excited ...

In 2015 we saw lots of great games make their way to the PC. I was looking back at what I played and which I found the most enjoyable.

Galactic Civilizations III - Had a lot of fun with GCIII, and it's one of my favorite Stardock games.

Anno 2205 - As a fan of the Anno series I was disappointed in this. It looks good but didn't seem to hold my interest for very long.

Star Wars Battlefront - As a big Star Wars fan I was excited for this, but the game got repetitive ...

While I was a bit disappointed in Homeworld 'remastered' due to the mash-up of mechanics since they combined some from HW1 and 2 (and I personally hated HW2) I am excited for this game.

I think that the there are two ways a computer can handle this. This is especially awesome if you are a good Ai programmer. First this is not a thread about tactics, but how the computer could implement tactics. There are basically four ways. This is basically planet building.

1. The first is basically the way everyone has done it from antiquity. They would write out a sstragedy on planet building. Basically every planet would be built the same way.

2. Second is my closest like the first. ...

For anyone who is even remotely a fan of FIREFLY.  This little SP of a gem released Oct 20th, I just got around to trying it out a few days ago.  Aside from the obvious firefly flavour it feels like Freelancer in some ways?

It's DX11, has a fantastic soundtrack, comedic value and well combat is just FUN!

Oh......and it's $20 on STEAM!!!

I've been a fan of Anno games for quite a while. I was going to wait to pickup the latest, but saw a sale for about 45% off and grabbed it.

Haven't had time to play yet, but looking forward to it. Anyone else grab this?

Stardock's CEO Brad Wardell talks to TIME about why gamers will love Windows 10.

"In DirectX 12, every single one of your cores can talk to your graphics card simultaneously,” says Wardell. “So in our benchmarks, going from DirectX 11-optimized games, we’re seeing between 85% and 300% performance boosts.” Those kinds of leaps, any way you want to slice them, are huge.

Mind you, the game has to be written for DirectX 12, something you won’t see mu...

Thing is.....the game is great for sure........but what I find best about Anno 2070 is actually the game's UI.  I have played so many (too many) RTS/Strategy games in my life with (by comparison) absolutely horrible UI's so I just had to pause playing to post about it.

UBI / BlueByte have done something really right with Anno 2070 and I hope it continues in Anno 2205.  The UI is fluid and informative without drowning you in unnecessary information.  I'm fi...
