Hey guys. Who is into VR?

I recently set up 2 rigs for VR. One with Oculus Rift, the other with the HTC Vive.

I'd be interested in any talk, info, discussion on either system, or maybe any other options for VR.

Pros, cons, what have you.  Got anything to say?

I need to do this, no matter what (he may not like my doing this due to pride).

A well known member of this skinning community in the recent past needs lots of help from wherever he can get it. He is about to lose his car that he uses to make money driving for Uber and Lyft (because it has broke down and he cannot afford to get it fixed). He is about to lose his computer that he desperately needs to earn money doing graphics designs for various music companies (but they only pay him peanuts)....

I have 8 ram slots, and a quad channel board. I can't get the system to boot with any more than 2 ram sticks installed.  6 empty ram slots just bothers me to no end.

Just in time for Christmas we released version 2.71 which is almost strictly about AI tweaks based on player feedback and saved games.  Now, someone might ask "Why do you need save games to make the AI do [obvious thing]?".  The answer is that with so many different ways of playing the game (both in terms of game setup and in-game strategies) it turns out people play the game very differently from one another.  It's one of the reasons why you have most people who think the AI is r...

We've introduced a new app: Groupy! I think PC users are going to find the ability to group their apps into tabbed windows very useful in their daily workflow. Groupy works similarly to how you use tabs in web browsers, but now you can do the same with applications like Explorer windows, Excel spreadsheets, Adobe apps, and just about anything else.

It’s really easy to setup and use Groupy, so here’s a quick guide on how to get started!

Get Groupy for $9...

The problem with anything is trying to over control it.

Progress waits for no one.

No one has to force progress it will happen even if

you try to prevent it. The climate will take care of it self,

the human race will invent new technology and carbon pollution

will decrease.

The problem today is people are panicking and panic never works.

Just get out of the way and progress will take care of

any problem real or imagined.

Progress waits for no one.

Happy Friday! We're getting some great holiday skins submitted to the site over the past couple of weeks, along with some updates of previous skins. We'll be featuring some of those through the month, but today I wanted to feature the Xmas Blue Master WindowBlinds skin by don5318.

If you are still looking for a Christmas skin for your desktop, then I recommend giving this one a try.

Softpedia takes a look at Groupy and rates it a 5 out of 5!

"The utmost advantage of Groupy is that it offers a more organized workspace and eliminates the need to look for certain applications, to open or to close windows. It is, indeed, a very useful and cool application that is worth trying by any daily computer user."

How's that for a dramatic headline?

Groupy is a new program from Stardock that does something so simple that, in hindsight, seems like it should have always been part of the OS.  It allows users to drag windows together and create a single tabbed window.

Like so:

A few years ago at CES, I showed a prototype of it to Mary Jo Foley, Paul Thurrott, Brad Sams and others.  The motivation to create Groupy came from the frustrating of having lots of windows open (a very f...

 1) I have been having issues with Chrome not showing videos correctly. On any site that has videos, Facebook also.

2) My FireFox looks corrupted.  I uninstalled it, downloaded a new one, installed it and it was fine. Turned off my pc to go to Menards... when I was back, and turned on pc, FireFox was corrupted again.

3) Videos that I have on my pc work fine.  Skype video works fine.

4) Now I am using Slimjet... everything works fine.  Any ideas?
