I noticed to many similiarities between Doom, Magneto, and Electro to be coincidence. Here's my question is who ripped off who, or who was first?

We were watching the season premiere of the The Big Bang Theory and I saw the promos for a new show Scorpion, which would come on after.  It didn't look too bad so I decided to watch and see if it was any good. I liked the overall concept.  I mean, a group of genius hackers -- what's not to like? Yes, the first mission was a bit "over the top", but it's a TV show so what else do you expect.  I'm also not too sure a...

I almost forgot about this, but I was able to watch as it comes on right before Falling Skies.  We enjoyed the first episode and will definitely be watching this show for the rest of the season. Did anyone else watch it? If you missed it, I think you can watch the episode at the link here.

Announced yesterday.... In addition to the episodes of a new Star Wars trilogy, Lucasfilm and Disney have begun development on multiple stand-alone movies that will offer new stories beyond the core Saga. Gareth Edwards will direct the first stand-alone film, with a screenplay by Gary Whitta. The film is due out December 16, 2016. Gareth Edwards blazed into the filmmaking forefront with his acclaimed work on Monsters, a film he wrote, directed and served on as cinematographe...

There are very few shows I watch on TV, but probably my favorite that I wait for each year is Falling Skies which is on TNT. The fourth season is starting on June 22nd, and from what I've been reading and watching it looks like it's going to be a good one.  If you are not familiar with the show, it's basically about a group of survivors from a catastrophic alien invasion. Steven Spielberg is the executive producer. Any other fans of the show?  We can use this thread f...

What's the last movie you saw?  Doesn't matter if it was at home or at a theater. Last one I saw was Captain Philips.  I thought it a pretty good movie, especially since it was based on real events.
Many people have dreamed of writing the great American novel.  Few people actually do it because, well, it’s a ton of work and even harder to get published. These days, you can release your indie book on Amazon but don’t count on selling any copies. The age of publishing isn’t over, not by a long shot.  I’ve talked to many indie authors and I’ve yet to meet one whose book outsold Destiny’s Embers. Not because my book was better but because Random House was my publisher...

First off, we should all be ashamed that we do not already have a Breaking Bad thread. There. I've said it. We are all bad people. Terrible people really. What kind of forum doesn't have a Breaking Bad forum? I'll tell you what kind: One that has something to hide.  A forum that feels like the subject matter hits too close to home.  But the time of hiding is over. The final season is here. Discuss. Spoilers. (duh)
Ok, saw this.  Was surprisingly good. 3.5 out of 5. Much better than the original Wolverine Origin movie.  Have you seen it? What do you think?

Saw it today....Terry spent a lot of time 'hiding'....she enjoys Zombie movies..... It was good, we both enjoyed it. Movies re Zombies, Vampires, and such always make me there a book of 'rules' by which everyone MUST how to kill/avoid/beat/etc such critters? I hear tell they don't actually exist so are the 'creation' of someone's imagination....     ....but I could be wrong....
My hopes are so high for is movie! I'm wondering if Clark Kent (with glasses) ever makes an appearance?
Putting aside the debate over whether the  I in Into is capitalized or not, the movie was terrific. No spoilers in this post. Having managed to avoid spoilers going into the theater I was surprised again and again as the movie progressed. It’s very much a character driven story.  Sure, there are some great special effects and some surprisingly detailed depictions of Earth in the 23rd century (more than I think we’ve ever gotten in a Star Trek film). Because of the massi...
Ok. So who’s going to see this? So far, I’ve managed to stay spoiler free.
My wife and I saw this on Friday.  I won’t put any spoilers in this post but suffice to say I was fairly disappointed.  Tom Cruise did about all he could do with it and the production values were amazing but the story fell flat for me. 6/10.
