OK, so I seem to have failed miserably to create a post to a "Custom audience" and get it visible so I'll just post this one. I don't really care who reads this one after all - there are no secrets!Well DX is really rolling now - I'm impressed with how much has changed from 2.0 - 2.1 Here's my quick thoughts and current plans: Ian's combo and list box replacements - cool. This will really help overcome MS not implementing a good comprehensive control set. We do however, really need to rep...

Fun day. * Checked in the multiplayer political machine so that Scott could start adding screens. It should work for everyone. George and I were able to play a mock game. * Wrote the streaming operators for most polmachine objects. We can use them to stream to/from a file for saving and to/from a buffer that we send across the network to make sure that the games stay in synch. * Spent some time with Scott and Paul tweaking the PolMachine UI. Tomorrow I should get some real multiplayer sc...

OK, my schedule is finally focusing on Political Machine again.  Luckily,Joe has been working on the Multiplayer part of the game for the last few weeksnow, so that's shaping up nicely. My current task is to take all the screensMr.Boyer has been working on and get them functioning within thegame.   This is not fun. We'll also be including docs for the editors with this next update. And the infamous invisible ship bug has been squished!...

At this very moment, I am clearing my first major hurdle at Stardock. This was to not grab the title for the shortest employment duration of any Stardock new hire. *phew* The next major challenge is learning the many different products and completely seperate product lines. In addition to this I've been trying to get aquainted with all of the different Stardock websites, in order to start helping with online support. The first project along side product/website exploration, was to cre...
I've lost quite a bit of time this week m igrating to Outlook. I am sure it'll be wonderful when I finsih but in the meantime it's been a major pain. The main issue with it has been moving the hundreds of thousands of emails I've received in Outlook Express over the past 4 years over to it. I took advantage of my not-completely-fair flex time to simply go home while the migration took place which took several hours to read in all the files and then remove the tens of thousands of duplicates. ...

Worked on joeUser much of the day. With the big chief out of the office I had a difficult time figuring out some of our higher level queries and such. My agenda today was to get the points system implemented onto the forums, but didn't even get a chance to tackle that task due to the grief that the blog groups caused me today. With Good night's sleep tonight, I hope a productive day will be awaiting for me.
