Does your vehicle provide excellent performance from the instant it departs from the factory floor?

The solution is easy - it doesn't. No mass-produced automobile ever does.

This special benefit focuses only on the Steve's Auto Clinic company, leaders in the arena of automotive power enrichment services.

Constructors conceptualise and construct vehicles along mass-manufacturing principles, with products aimed at the public in general, and not at the individual.

But the po...
I got my Chevy Volt last year. And 3,000+ miles and 6 gallons of gas later I had to fill it up today. I still had nearly half a tank.

Today, when I went to drive to work, I got a warning that my gas was going stale and that it would burn the remainder of my gas.  This was different from previous alerts that told me it was going to run the engine to keep the gas mixed.  So it turns out that the gas only will stay in there for about a year (it was the gas I got from the dealer when ...
People have been ragging on the Chevy Volt over some extremely unlikely issues that one could theoretically have with one. Of course, none of the people complaining actually have one.

I do.  I love it. It’s the best car I’ve ever owned.
There's been a number of negative articles about the Chevy Volt for some reason.
Let me tell you, it's the best car I've ever owned. Here are some of the cool things about it (and please feel free to ask anything you'd like to know because a lot of what I'm writing here hasn't been talked about):
So I've had it 6 months. And in 6 months of normal driving, I have never had to fill the gas tank. It's still using the gas that came with it from the dealership. Something like 2500 miles so f...

I've been hanging around here for years but haven't said much about riding a Harley, I get the impression that most folks here think Harley riders are thugs(I may be an a-hole but I'm not a thug).

If you ride a Harley you might like to know there is a new website/forum called HogTalkers. They are having a drawing for a $300 HD gift certificate. All ya got to do is register and reply to the contest thread in the forum. It just started up yesterday so not many members yet.
The BMW X5 is an SUV for drivers who want an SUV that is both sporty (read: Can go fast) as well as works as a good utility vehicle. In other words, an SUV that really is an SUV as opposed to simply a car that is shaped like a closed pickup.

My previous X5 was somewhat disappointing. BMW has its “iDrive” system for controlling the internal gadgets and it was just awful.  The 2011 edition has a far superior iDrive with buttons that take you right to where you want to go. Its iPhone/iPod...
We bought a new car.

It was very stressful.

I kind of knew but found out firsthand that my husband would rather have a knee operation than buy a new car.  He absolutely hates shopping period even for a new car.  It's a very painful experience for him and you could see this clearly as it was written all over his face.  He doesn't like to bargain and he's not good at it.  But it was time, and after dragging his feet he agreed reluctantly to go look.

My trusty old...

The Big 3 are not dead. That seems to be the overriding theme of the Detroit Auto Show this year. In fact, as one reporter put it: "Their collective push is to tell America what a good investment it made." Gone are the glitzy introductions, and movie star introductions. Instead we are treated to a no nonsense GM announcing the Spark, a sub-compact that gets 42 MPG will be available here for 2011. Ford introduced it's 2010 Fusion hybrid that will have best millage in it's class, beating out the C...

My sister and I were discussing the ridiculous sham of the American autocompanies, and since people are worried about the workers she said why not let Toyota or another company still standing on its own merits buy up American auto? That way the workers will still have jobs but it won't cost us nearly as much.

Never going to happen, and we didn't fully explore the consequences, but it was an interesting post-turkey idea...

So Obama's idea about change makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? With the way things are going, everyone is looking for some change (that is both pocket change and different alternatives). Well here's something that can definitely satisfy both the "I want change" crowd and the "I want an alternative" crowd.

How would you like to pay $0.86 a gallon of gas for your car? And it's not the type of gas you are thinking about. Well Honda has the car for you. The 2008 Honda Civic GX is a car li...

Back when my smallest daughter was just about to be born, we had to trade-in our small 4-door sedan for a mini-van.  With two real small children at the time, and another one just about ready to arrive we needed a mini-van as much as I didn’t really want one.  That was way back in 2000 and we did end up getting a Chevy Venture.  It has been a really great vehicle with no major problems, and I have problem invested less than $1500 over the past 8 years into it.

If you check the article link for this article you will see that currently in the UK we are having a somewhat heated altercation over the issue of a new government bill that is being passed that will specifically target vehicles that use a lot of petrol (or gas) per mile.

The idea behind this is to discourage the use of these vehicles and further more the purchase of them in the future. The tax only applies to vehicles constructed after 2001; it still allows people to use such vehicles but o...
It's not that I intentionally speed as much as I just don't like being the victim of speed traps that I have made it my business to know what the best radar detectors are.

For the last 4 years in particular, I've been using various models of K40 radar detectors with the most recent one being a K40 Calibre installed last year.  The K40s are special because they are integrated into the car. That is, someone would not know that you had a radar detector.  The radar detector itself is ...
