Wow, what a week that was! I know I still have one day to go but it will be chill compared to the last 4. I have loved every moment of it though. I spent my time working with SMEs to develop presentations for our Monday workshop and designing training aids for Moodle. Good stuff. I have met all of my deadlines so far and there is only one workshop left to finalize tomorrow. I am also applying for my resident visa tomorrow. The good thing about that is when it is granted I will get resident pric...
I hope somebody can help me here, I can only logg into my hotmail account if I am logged in facebook at the same time. Otherwise hotmail will just not work, fails to find the server. I tried everything, deleting all the cookies and the cache - and it's annoying. Maybe my internet is haunted lol
Just because I am bored, and it provided a moment of entertainment, I took some random "quiz" about my "political persuasion." My result? I am a "Don't tread on me" Libertarian. I was also provided the following description: You distrust the government, are fiercely independent, and don't belong in either party. Religion and politics should never mix, in your opinion... and you feel oppressed by both. You don't want the government to cramp your self made style. Or anyone else's ...
I thought Colbert was jokingBut it appears that " SyFy " is indeed the future name of the ever-frustrating Sci Fi Channel. The funniest (scariest?) line in the TV Week article is a quote from the channel's president, Dave Howe: "We really do want to own the imagination space." Is it any wonder Dilbert is so successful? So many working CEOs really do say vacuous things like that in all seriousness. I find this branding meltdown really odd timing what with the channel seeming to finally be find...
Writer's note: This is going to be my latest after action report. When I am going to try and get it published. So enjoy at let me know what you think. I have not started a game to go with this yet. Being a software developer for many years (20+ now) I have always marveled at game development. I love computer games and I can say that my love of them in the late 70's and early 80's is what drove me into my profession. Although I have never worked in a game company my career has always been in microcomputer and then quickly PC platform once it was out. This allow me to learn many things at home and provided a platform in which I was able to write very simplistic games back...
Why is double posting considered so wrong?
I have a gaming desktop with all the bells and whistles, but i'd like a laptop to play my favorite games while at lunch at work. My current one is having problems. Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone bought something recently that works well on both GC2 but also on other games such as Oblivion or FC? I do have a discount from my job at dell and HP, but if there are other places with good gear at good prices, i'd like to hear about it. Specs please. Thank...
I used to be able to play GC II on my laptop. Now I am unable to. I am wondering, is it possible that it is caused by a heating issue? If so, does anyone know if those after market laptop cooling stands work? They blow air up into the laptop. I would have thought it would work the other way and blow the hot air expelled from the bottom of the laptop out away from it. Thanks, Brian
This has been on the web for a while now, but Egosoft is working on the sequel to 2005's X3: Reunion. For those of you who don't know, X3 is a space simulator, set in a far off section of the galaxy connected by jump gates. There are a ton of things to do in this game, and the graphics (even though they were in 2005) are better then most of today's games. I got the game last summer, and have been hooked ever since. A teaser video is availible in the download section at http://www.egosoft.c...
for some reason or because of something I did I am not able to post to the newest show you ship thread, and It won't even open up page 6 of that thread. Is there any ideas how to get this fixed or do I have to start my own thread for it.
We need a part that will add population to a ship. My tholian space city has a crew of 1200. Which may be enough to operate the ship, But what about the 1,000,000 plus residents of these cities. Also there should be some way to have them produce some income. Your not going to live in a space city and not pay taxes. I put this thread in because I didn't want my suggestion to get lost in the official thread.
I would like a game that is both an empire builder and a role play game all in one. Is it possible. if so are you guys up for the challenge.
I know World of Warcraft (also WOW) is the biggest MMO out there. 10 Million people are playing. (Is it 10 or 9?) For those of you who don't know, WOW is an MMO by Blizzard (the creator of the obsessive Starcraft). It has middle-ages feel to it, with the standard quests, swords, levels, and the like. But now, this game has gotten some serious controversy. First of all, this game is plain addictive. I do not mean that in a good way. People will simply play this game for days on end. ...
