Okay, last night I had to work from 5:00pm to close (which is about 12:30 am or so) and I was assigned to drive-thru. Things were pretty much sucking. Me: Welcome to Burger King how can I help you? Them: UUUHHHHH!!! I'LL HAVE 3 KIDS MEALS!! Me (wincing from having my eardrums blown out): Would you like the hamburger, cheeseburger, or chicken tenders kid's meal? Them: I WANT ALL THREE OF THEM TO BE CHEESEBURGERS!!!! Me: Okay. What would you like to drink with t...
Life is a big training ground. Whoever thought that miseries and happiness are not part of life is just living in a fantasy world. Its good to like someone, dream about someone and live for someone. But the best part is to be liked by someone. There is no criteria that makes people like someone.Similarly , there is no reason why people dont like someone. Wish everything in the world is either Black or White!!!!
Yeah!!! I came home today and sifted through the mail and guess what? MY P45 WAS THERE!!!! Finally after weeks of chasing, complaining and feeling frustrated I got a result. So I can now merrily move on with life as normal and put this whole inconvienence behind me... Yeah! Link
My anger target for today has well and truly been met and dealt with!! Link I have just gotten off the phone with a recruitment consultant company I did some work for nearly a month ago. I have been trying to get my P45 form ( tracks wages/tax etc you take it from employer to employer) and the trouble I am having getting hold of this little bit of paper is proving to be much more than it EVER should be! I first started tracking the mentioned form on the 28th of October and was told...
No, I don't have a problem with gay marriage, gay relationships, anything like that. My problem is with the pompous asses at my "workplace" (AC high school). The hate seems to cultivate early in the morning, around 0935, when math class starts, pre-calculus with limits to be exact. There's one kid in the class who always has something political to say, or is related to a controversial political event (very intolerable of opinions other than his own). Usually the teacher starts with a humor...
Please note that the Marine Corps colors are *not* Yellow and Pink, they just look like that under fluorescent lighting. Honestly, if you want to make your own colored icing, use the "professional" strength food coloring... the others just aren't vivid enough. It was the nicest I've seen GJL, though. He was truly touched that a bunch of Army pogues would get the Marines a cake, or even figure out when the Marine Corps birthday was. I clued him in that I had been a wanna-be back in High ...
[See Part One for more details. Same llama category, same llama headline title!] 5.24.2004 // Paper in Fire (Part Two) Posted at 12:51 AM Ambition...this has been rolling about in my head for a little bit. Mary, Mary, quite contrary, how big will your silly dreams grow? Ambition can be a matter of rebellion. "I refuse the tiny role you have laid before me. I will be something bigger, something greater, even if I have to carve my own way through bedrock." Or..."I will prove to you ...
**Another post from my old EasyJournal. I almost didn't include it because of its personal nature, but then I re-read it and thought that some of its ideas were interesting. Basically, I'm a big dreamer always searching for my "right livelihood"--that is, the profession that I am meant to be in and that I will be happiest doing. I was really getting down on myself with these two posts, but I think the song I was quoting really caught the essence of how I felt. All of us have probably feared f...
It arrived, day one of the new job. Got in this morning at about 8:15 was the first one to arrive, (good impression...well at least to begin with). Spent the first hour, clearing out the cabinets and tidying the desk, I like a neat working area. Then people started arriving and I began my lessons in how they run things. Accounts, Mailing Lists, Contributions...all suprisingly easy to follow and understand, I think things will work out. The environment of the office is quite laid back and ...
In a little over an hour I will be going to my second interview for a nanny position for an awesome family with a 6-year-old girl. The mom seems really nice and has the same parenting style that I do, and the daughter is a blast, a really cute and funny little girl. I meet the dad tonight also. I hope it all goes well, I went into my first interview and was really honest, and didn't bs around, which I think actually helped. I feel bad though because they invited me over for dinner tonig...
There was that time, in college, where I went with the Army ROTC. I was a sophomore, and had just come over from Navy ROTC due to poor grades. They assigned the Cadet Commander as my battle buddy, which was still intimidating to me, because I was so n00bish. Besides, the guy had been enlisted during Desert Storm, so that gave him some cred, right? Well, probably not, but I'll never know. I do remember being in the prone with him while this other cadet, another prior enlisted who was pl...
I often wonder if ignorance is really all that blissful. Perhaps sheltered is the word I am looking to say. The other day, a few of us ladies at work were looking at some pictures of male strippers and dancers on the internet. We were being all loud and naughty. I have never been to a club to see men dance, but I have been to clubs to see women and get drunk. The other ladies were discussing going to strip clubs and inviting me to come along and see this! I am contemplating it. ...
So it's that time, my 3 month sabatical is over and it's back to work I trot. I have an interview on Monday, I'm looking forward to it. I have to admit that I am also looking forward to meeting some new people and getting back in to a routine. At the moment I am spending my days writing and researching, but not really getting out and meeting people. My partner and I are also trying to save as much money as possible so it would probably be best if have two wages coming in. I have been doin...
Well as I stated at the end of my last article, I have a new job. This job I LOVE. It's not that it's just plain easy... or that I get paid well to basically stand around... but most of the people I work with are awesome people. I work now at a beautiful store in the Venetian hotel-resort-casino's Canal Shoppes. It's a beautifully designed and made gold store, that has most everything you could think of golf-related... except clubs and balls Well we do have golf clubs just not many, ...
I don't know why I am still mad, it's not like I have to deal with the 'problem' anymore. Well not on a personal level at least. The 'problem' has moved out, THANK GOD!!! I am free!!! now I just have to decide if I want to be free forever, I think unfortunately the answer is yes...I think I am over the anger, betrayl and pain ,then as soon as I think of the 'problem' it all comes rushing back. I think the easiest way for me to deal with this is to irradicate it from my life forever. It will ...
