Jalsa Movie Review Click here - Give your rating ( Started on 8th April ) Chiranjeevi Politcal Party Review It is full and full entertainer. The narration of the movie is outstanding. It could be a case study for the film institutes on how to make a film with a small line of story. It is really fun to listen from lot of review makers on line who are banging about the story. I don't know why they are not able to see the truth that there is no story in lot of block...
With thanks to Netflix (who will soon be finding me cancelling my membership with them thanks to their decision to move away from the HD DVD format, but I digress...), I just sat and watched the film Becoming Jane with my wife. I try hard not to 'blind purchase' or buy some discs 'cold' as I just don't know in advance if I'll find enough value in the movie and extras on the disc to make it one that I would want to watch again and again, or more importantly, to make it one that I woul...
LOL, it's been several years since I last watched Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, but Comedy Central just had it showing and with nothing else that I really wanted to see, I left it playing in the background while I was playing some games on my Xbox 360. I had forgotten just how smart and funny that movie was. Very, very funny actually. Hopefully it'll come out on HD DVD or Blu-ray soon and I'll wind up grabbing a copy in one of those formats as I normally don't much ...
Compliments of rental from Blockbuster Online (Blockbuster.com), I was finally able to get a copy of the movie The Kingdom on HD DVD. I'd been waiting impatiently for a copy since it was released over a month ago, with Netflix never able to deliver, or at least with them telling me that it was going to be a very (seemingly you could add about 2 more ", very"'s in there) long wait. The Kingdom is a hybrid/crossover type film that mixes action and drama to tell a tale of an act of terrori...
I hope my sub title didn't chase you off from the review already, though I suppose it sums up a bit of what this particular movie is like. Wait, I am getting ahead of myself, and I really don't mean to. About the movie... Let me start by saying that the movie isn't too bad, but it really does stretch the Rush Hour movie series about as far as it can go. The same basic plot, the same basic formula, everything that we saw in the first two Rush Hour movies is dredged up to be re...
With thanks to Blockbuster Online, I just finished watching Good Luck Chuck on Blu-ray disc. One of a few movies that Blockbuster.com was able to ship out to me this past week. Good Luck Chuck was a Lions Gate film (small studio), who happened to be aligned with the Blu-ray said in the high definition movie disc format wars. Not having seen the movie in the theatrical run, I did want to see it in high def format, and was curious how the movie would do on Blu-ray disc. ...
Netflix finally found a copy of Shoot 'em Up (on Blu-ray) to ship me, after leaving me waiting for it for several weeks. I wish I hadn't had to wait for it, but I have to say the wait was worth it. 90 minutes of virtually non-stop action. Actually about 88 minutes of gunfire being exchanged, with about 2 minutes of plot details that tied things together. Clive Owen, Paul Giamatti, Monica Bellucci and a cast of characters that make targets for either of the two male actors. ...
As I mentioned in the just posted article reviewing the movie Sunshine on Blu-ray disc (see review here: "Sunshine" on Blu-ray disc ), my movie selections this week were not what I had hoped for my Netflix subscription. I really had hoped to get to see 3:10 to Yuma , but it seems that Netflix is bound and determined to make me wait for that movie (and also the movie The Kingdom , which I've been waiting on for several weeks now...) so instead I got a few other movies from que ins...
Slow week for me on Netflix as unfortunately Netflix opted to pass me over for my longstanding movie requests and instead send me a couple of movies that I didn't want as much but put in my que just because they were new or newly released on HD DVD or Blu-ray disc. One of those movies was the science fiction/fantasy based movie Sunshine by FOX/Searchlight. I put up a review of the movie over on Amazon.com that I'll expand on a little here. Hopefully it'll help save you time decid...
It's nice to finally see a movie where the trailers are intruiging but don't end up being the best part of the film. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the movie because the trailers I saw were a bit coy about the reason for this apocalyptic world presented in the movie. A little googling and checking out some movie reviews and the discovery that it was due to a virus made this movie a must-see for me. I have long been a fan of plots where viruses have or will potentially end civil...
Let me start by saying that since primarily making the switch to HD DVD and/or Blu-ray (high definition versions of movies) I've watched very few movies on DVD. I kept telling myself that HD DVD and/or Blu-ray is better, even if I couldn't see that much difference in most cases. Tonite was one of the first opportunities where I could (basically had to, but more on that in a minute...) compare between both the HD DVD version and the DVD version of a movie. All I c...
Just got back from taking the whole family to go see National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. Was a nice fun popcorn watching movie. If you enjoyed the first one, you'd probably find this one worth going to go see.
Quick summary here: please do not waste your time watching this movie . If you want more details, keep reading, but even thinking of watching this movie shouldn't be supported or allowed. It is that bad. More details: You are still reading this?! What, do you have relatives that worked on this crap fest or are you just a glutton for punishment?!?! Well, here goes. First, would whoever is responsible for keeping Lorne Michaels and the crew of ...
Had a couple of rentals from Netflix and Blockbuster with a few notes and comments. First, I saw reviews of Live Free or Die Hard (which was supposed to have been a review of trilogy, but wound up just covering the single movie) over on HighDefDigest.com . Interestingly enough there was a note talking about a major difference between the current Blu-ray version and the DVD version. I don't have the Blu-ray version to check, but reportedly the Blu-ray edition does not include the ...
Sat and watched the rental of Oceans 13 (on HD-DVD) tonite with Mrs. Terpfan1980. We both enjoyed thoroughly enjoyed this one a lot. We've seen all 3 of the movies in the trilogy and of the three, thought this might be the best. Without spoiling the other movies, or this one, the thinking goes something like this: First movie the cast was new, the twists (or lack thereof if you want to describe things that way) were unexpected and surprising, but things were somewhat difficult ...
