New Page 1 Detox and Wales Tonight I'm heading with my mates to Wales to spend theweek end there. As I have never been there before and I really need to breathsome fresh air, so I'm really eager. Also it will be the longer time since Christmasthat I will spend without logging here. We have plan to climb the highestmountain of Wales and to visit a lot of other stuff. I predict it will be fun, cool and maybe with snow...
New Bike Tires and rims trued....check. Free kick ass meal at hotel mom and pop....check. One of the more unnecessarily stressful days ever at work....check. Coffee and big brownie...double check....ahhh yeah. Unfortunately additional items on my checklist get more and more bureucratic and...well dumb. Hopefully my weekend checklist will include discovering a great second job this summer, finding a place to establish myself as a regular, writing epiphanies, biking, making out, or an...
Alright so I'm at work right now on instant messenger with my boss who is in the computer lab 300 or so feet away , with my dad discussing the tranfer of title of my car, telling the kids in the room behind me playing game cube to tone it down, (though not in those cheesy words) looking for permission slips for tomorrow and Fridays extravaganzas, writing an email to my little sister, yelling at other kids to get there stuff and meet their parents and checking messages on my cell phone...you wo...
I'm sure some of the people reading this right now have come from one of the comments I've left on a variety of other blogs concerning gay marriage. Like any number of so-called "conservative" bloggers, I'm for it. Spare me the religious justifications for being against it - not everyone holds the same religious beliefs (and if the only reason you're against it is religious, why doesn't the First Amendment then currently require the government to allow same-sex marriages). Spare me the econom...
I've officially decided that Im probably going to switch from my xanga to here.. just because the school's filters dont let me into xanga anymore. gr. Anyhoo. Last night owned me. Me and the Tim took a 2 1/2 trip to St. Louis to go see the Mountain Goats. I was kind of sick feeling so I really kinda didn't want to go.. but I went anyway. Tim introduced me to tMG about 2 or so weeks ago. Oh man. New favorite band. John Darnielle is amazing. So anyway.. we drive out there (making a stop i...
"Remember back in the day playing capture the Klingon with those Star Trek tracer guns that shot those little round 'Jet Discs'? Of course you do. ThinkGeek recently stumbled upon the 21st century take of that classic launcher. Inspired by the bullet time scenes from the Matrix, the Shot Blade was developed to create slow flying projectiles that were also accurate and consistent from launch to launch. They succeeded! " I just have to worry about the cats stealing my ammo Well, that, an...
As far as yesterday, I'm not sure what's going on with either of the girls. But this post isn't about that. It's about my crazy, psychopathic mother. She's a sweetheart, she really is. I walk into her room today, and she's completely smashed. Not like "oooh, I'm drunk and tipsy" smashed, like almost ready to pass out smashed. My dad will be home shortly, and I'm fairly certain that they are going to just get into the biggest argument ever. When that happens, I'll update everyone on th...
So there's an open mic this Thursday night that I'm thinking about going to so I may be posting some more poetry in the next few days for you guys to help me select for possible readings. Either that or tell me to take my Beatnik ass somewhere else...hence the whole point of going to open mics. Anyway I figure this will be a good way to connect with people a little bit closer to my ideals. It's becoming more and more clear that I both don't fit in with the trendier crowds, and also that...
Well, tonight was definetly interesting. I swear I must be some new form a bi-polar, because I have the strangest mood swings. I had a few friends over, my dad is out of town. My mom is completely trashed, and I'm perfectly sober. So, anyways, friends were over, and we had X-Box Karaoke going on. It was fun, and I was happy as hell. Then, they all started leaving. Shortly after which, two of my friends and I (Negotiator and Deadbolt) started watching Love Hina Again. We realized th...
I have an idea for everything. You sling something at me, and I'll figure a way to work around it. Take this: I have over one million game ideas, and every thing I see, hear, touch, smell, or taste, I come up with a new idea. Why not make a game based off of BBQ ribs? Why not make a game based on pure comedy, where the laughs never stop? Why not make a game where all you do is run around killing giant mechanized turtles named Tama? Or girls named Naru? Oh! Why not make a game base...
So, me and Prof. Bongwater are sitting around one day, bored. Then it hits us: If we register online, we can become ordained ministers! BAM! We rush off to the library at N.I.U. and each get a computer. It takes us all of 15 seconds, and we become ministers. We print a copy of the papers, and rush outside. What was an overcast day suddenly becomes sunny! We did something good! Yay! Fast forward a year and a half. Me and the Emo Twins are sitting around, watching this insane cartoon...
Here's a quick rundown of everyone that evokes an emotion in me, everything from ecstatic joy to raw rage. Home Life: Mother - I love my mother greatly, even though she might be considered a chain-smoking alcoholic who gets extremely depressed at the drop of a pin. She's been everything a mother could be, caring, loving, and just all around fun, even if she makes me feel horrible on occasion. Dad - your typical father with rage problems. He and I are more likely to not get alo...
So after an agonizing trot through my taxes I was relieved to get a phone call from some friends to meet them for a drink on a Sunday night. Jumping at the chance to get away from forms and numbers characterizing a similarly boring weekend I quickly flew into my car to drive the near half hour to meet them. And damn did that pay off. In the midst of greasy food and beer someone suggested we plan a road trip in two weeks, and wallah! Something to look forward to. So two weeks from now I sh...
The small piece can make the Nuggets make the cake tastegood... The past week has been relatively quiet, but after looking back I realisethat there was some interesting stuff. The beginning on Monday was really fun withthe celebration of T. Birthday, we went with the usual lads to do a pubcrawling. In case you don't know what it is, you go from pub to pub, at each pubeverybody should take the same drink and leave straight away to another pub. It'svery nice because you don'...
18th of Fedruary 2004 at 0:10 A.M. our family has been enriched with yet another member. By the time she entered our realm, Zuzanna (Susie) Najmanowicz weighted 3400 grams and was 54 centimeters tall. I wonder if tall is a right word here, long perhaps, she won't be standing any time soon . The only trouble I'm into now is the Women/Men ratio for our family now beeing up to 3/1! Having spent 2 nights at home we already cannot imagine living without her any longer. You can reach h...
