Nice looking mare. That jock will never live it down though.   BLACK Caviar has kept her unbeaten record winning the Diamond Jubilee stakes at Royal Ascot. But for a few strides near the line, the whole nation held its breath for a moment when jockey Luke Nolen eased up 75m out and was nearly caught by French mare Moonlight Cloud. Nolen realised his error and shook the reins in the final three strides as Black Caviar held on to score a narrow and famous win. ...

There’s a show on National Geographic called “Doomsday Preppers”. I’ve never watched it. But I have read a number of blogs from people on the subject and I’ve become convinced that most people, even those into “prepping”, haven’t thought through what would be the likely, and even predictable, steps our society would take as it self-destructed. The doomsday scenarios I have seen discussed revolve around one of the topics below: Economic coll...

When I worked in the medical field we SWORE on our mother's grave that the lunies come out with the full moon. Here we've had the WTF guy, the UNINSTALLED guy, and one that insults the Memorial Day holiday (which I still object to the USA putting on a Monday). I know it is supposed to be a time of remembrance and contemplation, but gee wiz. Eat a BBQ hotdog and watch the ATVs on the sand. I'd say "drink a beer" but beer ain't allowed on the dunes here. Wish I had a hotdog emot...

So said the news item yesterday...... Maybe it's because we're so easily amused....   Surely can't be because Gina is Numero Uno Rich-Bitch on the planet..... It would take the average Australian 465 THOUSAND YEARS to match her PERSONAL income for this one year.  NINETEEN BILLION and counting. Come on, people....now you really know the reason for the Carbon Tax. She ain't gonna give it up willingly....even wanted to hold off on giving it to ...

Spottet this post on the Danish national TV's website, and it kinda made me giggle. It's a list of 'observations' made by an American living in Denmark (Where I also live), and it sort of defines what 'a Dane' is and how 'we think'. Well 'sort of' is a bit vague.... it's more or less spot on! YOU KNOW YOU'VE BEEN IN DENMARK TOO LONG, WHEN: You think there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. You think its normal to pic...

Is spam a normal part of this forum? Especially spam spam? (Like three separate ones on the same thing?) If so, is there a way to hide a particular forum from what I see so they don't cover up what I think is important? I've been reading for a few months and don't remember spam before.

This one ain't mine....it's my mate Dave's. He's always wanted one...so now he has one.  Apparently it's the earliest example in Australia. It's LHD and complete...the 'ends' are off as they were repainted.....and he's nutting out some wiring  [he should know what he's doing.....if you note what's in the background]. The bit I like is that in Back to the Future you had to get to 88mph....... That's probably somewhat meani...
