It looks like Apple is starting a revolution in self service. With the idea of iPodding (doesn't really relate to iPod) of which is to subscribe to an RSS feed that links to audio files, now takes talk radio to a new level. Listen to it when you want, where you want; much like TiVo except it is portable. Now, P2P is (so far legally) creating a way to share your music to the world by broadcasting it. Take a ook at these sites and see what they are talking about: mercora live365.com...
EDIT: On this note, you might want to read what is being said about this on 2 sites: Neowin: Judge rules in Apples favor against Bloggers (ThinkSecret) SlashDot (Also has links to editorials on subject) In this case, what would happen to Neowin if it were to publish something from a 'unknown source'? What makes it even cooler is that people from all over the world edit the material. You would think that error would come into play but it actually isn't any better or worst than a regular encyclopedia. Plus it has more info on companies, and on locations. Very useful, especially if your speaking to someone who knows another language. You could direct them to Wiki for a definition of what your talking about. Who knows, it could be helpful. Maybe one day, I will add something to that fr...
This is a short introduction to what I believe is something that everyone should do or get into. Basically, joeKnowledge is a website that allows people to create working portfolios and also create a place to store links around the web for access anywhere. As you can read HERE , many businesses are quite into groupware (like People soft/Oracle). It helps with projects by creating a base of knowledge that the project shares. Knowledge base systems, amonst other types of systems, are g...
A sad day indeed. Stardock announced that Textbanners.net will stop in January 2005. I must say that I am disapointed that it did not work out. I had much hope for the program such that it would bring more revenue to WinCustomize (and therefor more servers). Lately, I have devised a way to use TextBanners.ner and Google Ads together and planned on having (or should I say conducting) an experiment with my current progect Search Advertising (current off-line until I can pay that bill UNEMPLOYMEN...

So I accepted a bit of an assignment doing some book reviews. Maybe I'll link to them when I finish some up. To the point - the format of the review is Textile. Textile is a way to simplify HTML mark up. It's really easy to tell you the truth. I spent some time working with it and then added TextilePHP to my website in about half an hour. Now all the posts generated on my website will run through Textile. The best part is that it will easily coexist with HTML. There is a ruby implementation...

Eroticy Affiliate Program Scam Eroticy Affiliate Program The Eroticy affiliate program is a scam.  Eroticy.com and it's parent company Webcapades has very poor reputation among webmasters, and have proven themselves again by ripping off and not paying webmasters who have signed up for the Eroticy affiliate program . I was an affiliate of Eroticy.com, and I sent them lots of very high quality traffic from my dating directory site which gets a lot of traffic itself.  After...

The response to Part 1 here was better than I could have possibly expected. I was given a very simple answer to what I thought was a complex problem based on what every ASP.NET help site out there told me. What my ASP.NET book told me was a page and a half of code to do, a helpful reader (mick_k) showed me was really just one line. I'm a huge fan of collaboration and seeking out knowledge and advice from a community... it makes everyone's life so much easier when they hit a roadblock. ...
Webcapades is a hardcore porn company that sends more spam email than you can ever imagine. Webcapades runs a scam rip off site called Eroticy.com where people try to meet and have sex, but you'll never meet anybody there because everbody is fake, and the site is total joke. The porn is slow and bad, and not worth the money. Webcapades sure does like to rip people off! i used to even be a member there and pay webcapades my money every month, but i quit when I learned everybody is fake,...

Recently in New York City, a popular hip hop station, Hot 97 & ranked # 2 in ratings for that market, improvised a parody of Quincy Jones’ 1985 single “We Are The World” which was produced at that time to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia. The result was an unbelievably reckless racist mocking of said tragedy....below are the web links of an on-going On-Line Petition posted by a member of the Asian Community in New York; Kevin Chung. as well as an article explaining the outr...
Alright, at work I've been told I have to build a web tool that takes a 40 question survey, analyzes the answers given, then based on the answers generate custom content from a large stack of documents. Fair enough. The catch is I have to do it in ASP.NET, and not PHP because ASP.NET is supported by IT whereas PHP is not (despite the fact that IT runs serveral PHPNuke sites, which obviously relies on PHP). So, I've been trying to learn ASP.NET for the purpose of building this tool. In t...
