Just learned about fan movies. You can copy ab idea as long as you don't make money on it, so that got me thinking. How about the return of the cylons after the ships were destroyed in earth. One of the many alien invasions where super heroes didn't bother helping protecting against aliens, like war of the worlds. Only now with super heroes. The awe some's the first time around. A reboot of Voyager this time around the science department gets damaged. The star charts gets destroyed. ...
Even for as bad as the Nationals have been playing (which is pretty horrid really), I can't wait to go to tomorrow's Washington National game rather than being stuck at home and even partially tempted to watch another night of the horribly bad I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here on NBC. I'm not a big fan of reality TV, but if you put together a compelling cast and offer the possibility of there being some combustibility, I'll probably watch a little just to see if some delicious trashines...
I just got through watching 2 more anime series. I'll give a brief review of each of 'em. Firstoff is "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". This series is about afreshman high school girl who is everything but normal. She makes itclear on the first day of school that she is not interesting inordinary humans. The story is told from the viewpoint of Kyon, anotherfreshman high school student. The series starts off with a briefintro, followed by Haruhi's declaration that she will make her ownc...
I had turned off HBO for my house a while back, after they had finished up the series runs for the shows I was interested in seeing. Knowing that those shows either weren't coming back, or would be off the schedule for a long period, it just wasn't worth paying a subscription fee until something I really wanted to see was going to be on.
Ugh, I would try to find an emoticon or graphic depicting someone puking to insert here and really show how bad the most recent episode of SNL (Saturday Night Live) was, but it's just not worth the effort.
Hello again. I hope that this format works out alright. I have always had problems when I write my blogs on a Mac, then cut and paste them here in JoeUser. At least it seems that my paragraph breaks are preserved in the transition. Enough “inside baseball”, let’s talk about IDOL! Last night we saw the top eight women finalists. I have concluded that the women are nowhere near as good as the men. Outside of Brooke and Carly, I don’t...
If any of you watch Jimmy's show you may know that his girlfriend, Comedienne Sarah Silverman did a video farce/joke that she was "F--king Matt Damon"! It's a very funny piece that you can read the accompanying article and watch the video on You Tube here. http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/02/01/sarah-silverman-is-doing-you-know-what-with-matt-damon-video/ Sarah's comedy is a bit over the top but I find her hilarious in a sarcastic kind of way, she can be annoying but she does mak...
Yet again we have an Academy Awards show where the award winners are rushed off the stage while there are oodles of needless fluff and pomp that would be better left out of the show.
Loved the opening to SNL tonite. Back, live, and wholeheartedly on the Obama train. Also having a fun time poking fun of the writer's strike.
Recently Comedy Central has been running Jeff Dunham's special Jeff Dunham: Spark of Insanity . If you aren't familiar with Jeff Dunham, he is a comedian whose 'shtick' is that he is also a ventriloquist. He works primarily with a dummy called Walter, but his cast of characters includes a few others as well (such as Achmed the dead terrorist....) His comedy is reasonable funny, and his act would be good except for one thing: YOU SEE HIM MOVING wayyyyyyyy tooooooo much when the ...
I had no clue American Idol would be back tonight! Of course I watch TV, but I've been stuck on basic cable a lot and missed the promos! It was interesting and I've found three who I already like and hope they make it to the top 10. Don't ask me for names, I wouldn't be able to tell you! But it was the auditions in the city of Philadelphia, a 25 year old who has a daughter with Rett's syndrome, a guy who you wouldn't think had such a great voice and a 23 year old who was the last to au...
Excellent show, at least so far. Which means that the stupid suits at the FOX network will probably cancel the show after 3 or 4 more episodes :-{ I hope the second half of the 'pilot' episode goes as well as the first half did. Also would note that the FOX suits really should can their promotional department. The commericals that FOX aired for weeks leading up to the show kept featuring a line with Sarah Connor saying 'I'll make pancakes' which seemed to be placed right after ...
Ok, I admit I am sometimes a sucker for crappy TV. Crappy, trashy, reality TV. Which is exactly what I am anticipating FOX's new show The Moment of Truth will be. I hope I'm not wrong about that, and I hope they make it as edgy and trashy as they can. The ads (commercials) that have been previewing the show so far look delightfully trashy. I hope the show delivers.
I didn't sit and watch the entire show last night. In fact, I haven't really kept up with the show because the novelty of it has worn off (for me, although it is a great show!) since it first aired. However, if it 's on when I'm channel surfing I'll sit for a bit and watch whomever is on trying to win money. I have just one question about some of these people? What the fuck is wrong with them? Why would you, especially if you don't see or hold say $65,000 or say $100,000 in your hand ...
Hey NFL Network, want to keep your viewers, or perhaps bring in some more? Try getting a real announcing team and ditching the worthless bums you currently have there. Gumbel is beyond horrible, and adding on Collinsworth is insult added on top of injury. Gumbel screws up team names for players, player names for players, and enough of the rest of the basic announcer provided information to leave you quickly impressed with just how brain damaged the guy must be. Collinswort...
