Dear programmers and executives at Turner networks -- Congratulations on chasing away viewers like myself. Your channels were recently added to the High Definition offerings of DirecTV, but unfortunately your channels continue to exhibit poor judgement in distorting the video images that you send to your customers. These distortions cause motion sickness and grossly change the images that are sent to customers such that the actors and actresses and other materials that are shown durin...

Thanks to an offer from DirecTV, I subscribed to the the Sunday Ticket NFL football package for this season.  DirecTV's offer -- and a big part of the reason that I took advantage of it -- included their 'superfan' package for free.  Superfan is required if you want to receive the Sunday Ticket games in hi-def, so I consider it a necessity for even considering subscribing to the Sunday Ticket package.  Unfortunately, DirecTV considers it a value added service and they typicall...

In case you are wondering why I'm not watching your product (besides the fact that my team isn't in the playoffs), it might have something to do with Mr. No Talent, aka Dane Cook, and that stupid 'There's only one October' advertising campaign.  Ugh, what an irritating collection of tripe. If I'm tuned in for baseball, I don't need to see commercials that feature that bum talking about how special the playoffs are, how things have been narrowed down to just a few teams, etc. When I oc...

The biggest crap ever.  EVER! Wonder if they meant Bono, or Katie -- oh wait, they were aiming at both.  LOL.

... and apparently so have your guests (with every punch they throw :-} ) This morning my TV happened to be 'parked' on the channel that the Jerry Springer show airs on, so, when I turned on the TV it just so happened to conveniently be showing a wonderfully, gloriously, trashy episode of The Jerry Springer show.  Oh, how I've missed that show. I couldn't tell you exactly what the topic du jour was (I think it was 'I married you so I could get drunk'), but it was filled with the usual...
Then again, come to think of it, Real Sex, the series, is on HBO ! Have any of you seen the new HBO series "Tell Me You Love ME"? It pretty much borders on being porn! Although that would be soft-porn and not the really hard-core graphic porn! I was intrigued with the show when I saw HBO advertising it because it is supposed to be about married and involved couples and the 'stuff' they are going through. The peaks into it seemingly dealt with the struggles some couples go thro...
Whooo....I just watched, well, an hour ago, Dancing with the Stars, the Men round and there are some really good prospects this season! I really wasn't looking forward to this season's competition, when I heard the names, I wasn't even impressed. The women, whose dancing I didn't watch last night (I was engrossed in Heroes and that new Chuck the nerd-spy, show on NBC), but I did catch the tail-end of it and watched the former Spice Girl, Mel B danced, she wasn't so bad either! The men'...

For anyone thinking of ordering Heroes: Season 1 on HD-DVD from Amazon.com you can save 5% off the already discounted price ( heavily discounted off of Best Buy 's advertised $99 price of same { though BestBuy.com shows a more reasonable lower price if you order online, not as good as Amazon.com's but not bad }) if you enter promotional code: tvguide5 in the box that is shown when you go to check out. You'll see a discount of 5% off the already discounted price, knocking the t...

Man, I really wish this show was over on HBO, perhaps following Entourage, or perhaps taking Entourage's time slot as it gets ready to take another hiatus between seasons. I'm watching the pilot episode that I 'Tivo-ed' -- correction, saved on my DVR -- and wanted to get watched before the next episode airs and I fall further and further behind on my planned TV watching.  Having seen several teasers/promos for this series during the summer back when I was catching The Tudors on Showtime ...

This show (HBO's John from Cincinnati) is such a strange show, and so mysterious -- with the dialogue and writing that was formerly in Deadwood, yet mixed with what seems to be a lot of elements from Six Feet Under -- that I can't stop watching it. Thus far there've been far more questions than answers as I watch the show, but I like the show a lot and will be sad after the season finale airs next week.
Have any of you seen this new reality show on the History channel? It's about a group of truckers who travel from and to Yellowknife, Canada to deliver much needed supplies and equipment to places where there are hardly any roads at all and who depend on these truckers who risk their lives to make the deliveries. Watching this program the first time got me thinking about Mason and what he does too, I even wondered if he would do something like this? The roads traveled are made up of ...

By now, everyone knows about the series finale of The Sopranos , where the ending left viewers with far more questions than answers. HBO's website was inundated with so many angry emails immediately afterwards that the site crashed. Sopranos creator David Chase decided he was doing people a favor by leaving the question of what happens, especially to Tony Soprano, up to the imagination of the audience. Once again, a TV honcho doesn't get it. Audiences watch TV shows, especially those with...
I'm a huge Sopranos fan. From Season 1, when psychoanalysis was a main plot to this final season, where Dr Melfi is only on sparingly I have enjoyed it all. i agree with a lot of critics who found season 5 to be a little weak compared to the previous 4, but I enjoyed the David Lynch like surrealism of the 1st half of season 6. About the only thing david Chase didn't do in the previous season was have Tony and the boys break into song every once in a while. Tony Soprano is just a great cha...

Man, oh man, that right there is funny, I'll tell you what... In all seriousness, the ESPN News advertisement (advertisement that is for ESPN News, telling people to watch ESPN News and become educated about sports) with the guy that is talkin' sports outta his butt is just too funny. As always, the folks behind ESPN's advertisements are doing a great job of giving you something fun to watch and laugh about.
