For those who may not click with the name, some of the world's greatest guitarists have referred to Malcolm Young as the greatest Rhythm Guitarist of all time. As the co-founder of ACDC he'll be remembered for a very long time.

I just watched the last seven minutes of Cassini before it plunged into Saturn's atmosphere at more than 77,000 miles an hour. The pictures it sent back over the last thirteen years plus what the Huygens probe discovered on Titan have to be some of the most spectacular views of the Saturnian system. Not taking anything away from Juno at Jupiter or New Horizons as it flew past Pluto but Cassini in my opinion tops them all. Thirteen years at Saturn! Absolutely incredible.

It is with sadness that I report that one of our own is ill. Xiandi has been a member of our community since 2007 and has created some amazing skins. Her body is no longer able to tolerate her chemo treatments and she is now under hospice care at the hospital. She has put up a good fight. She said to tell you that she loves each and every one of you. It's fairly near Stardock HQ so I will be going over today to visit.  I will happily take your good thoughts with me. My favorite ...
I'm not sure how I missed this article but looking at it now it's kind of interesting to read how the interviewer, Jeremey Peel reacted to my interview responses.  Broadly speaking, my belief is that people are people and should be treated well without qualification.  This does not, however, mean that you should feel obligated to absorb abuse. For example, on our software, we will go to great lengths to help a customer.  But the moment they start making personal attacks...
(170812)  Yesterday spent at work correcting product listings on the website.  Some 40 entries, three of which were corrupted, yielding nonsense on the front end, and blank data entry forms on the back end.  This followed several months now of correcting links to the newest version manuals, doing a poor job because of conflicting source material.  The company hardly has any real web presence any more, as measured by Google's keyword page return.  Two years ago, they ...

It's amazing that after 2 years away is still up and running. Granted the send to be a lot less activity than before but it's great to see this site alive. I see it's mostly Stardock articles, which makes sense, the days. I loved being here when there were healthy discussions about politics and current events, the arguments are so intense it was great. Sadly I see little to any political discussions. Well, times change but it's nice to see the site still up. Maybe I...

If you get the chance.... Do yourself a favor.... Go see her. Terry and I, and 75000 others went tonight....and it was brilliant... Imagine applying this to everyday audio/video via something like Google Glass. Imagine refining huge samples such as a novel or a physics compendium. Maybe we already have enough data, given this methodology, to describe and extract a full blown universal TOE.  If so, why do anything more?  In general, if we know that this is theoretically possible then what incentive remains, of any kind?  Do we have to...
