Finally I can rejoice the return of Aaron Sorkin. The return you ask? Wasn't he involved in The West Wing ? Well, yes, he was originally, but over the years he wound up leaving the show and even if he hadn't, at least one of the co-stars of that show is one that makes my stomach turn badly enough to not permit me to watch the show no matter how good it may have been. Actually, The West Wing started out as a different creature, never really intended to be focused that much on politics...
There are a few new programs I like on television from last season. Grey’s Anatomy is one of them. This is one hot, sizzling series! I really enjoy watching it every week. The cast is really funny and great at what they do, acting like doctors. The interns get into so much trouble or maybe that should read sticky situations! I laugh wit them, I feel their pains. The writing on this series is really good. Its’ an hour that keeps you on your toes. One recent plot was a guy with a...
I was watching the E network sometime ago and they did a program about “Chick Flicks”. It got me laughing and brought me back to remember my favourite one – Pretty Woman. How can you tell a film as a “Chick Flick”? If you had to drag your husband or boyfriend to see it is top of my list! When I turn to one of these romantic comedy/drama on the television he groans and complains. Why do we have to watch that? Haven’t you seen it too many times already? It doesn’t matter how much h...

Check On It Album: #1's Year: 2005 Beyonce lets men view her as a piece of meat in the grody "Check On It." Rapper Slim Thug intros the song by naming the producer, group, and himself over scuzzy beats. It sets a seedy tone. "Swiss Beats/DC, Destiny Child/Slim Thug." Slim Thug says that Beyonce should stay away from dorks and wannabes. She's a hot, young thing that be going out with a real man, like him. As he watches her dance, he nods in approval. He tells to pull her bac...

I'm sure some folks will be coming by soon to take my "guy card" for this admission, but having come into the new FOX show Skating with Celebrities I had incredibly low expectations.... First, in the name of full disclosure, I'm a big fan of the show Arrested Development which Skating with Celebrities has helped bump off the schedule. I don't blame the FOX execs that much for bumping A.D., as they've given a ton of chances to critical darling A.D. to find an audience, and unfortun...
I try not to get involved with new TV shows. Mostly because I don't want to make the time investment that will happen over a show that I actually like. One hour a week becomes five hours a week before you know it. I especially try to avoid mid-season replacements, since their lifespans are notoriously short-lived and hard to predict. But Tuesday night at 10 EST/PST (9 Central) on CBS, I watched a show that was totally worth the time investment: "Love Monkey" . The show stars ...

It's that time of year again, that time when Fox programming executives start doing a happy dance because they are about to dump another season of American Idol upon the TV watchers in the U.S.A., and they know that there will be plenty of watchers because it's just like a train or car wreck and we can't avert our eyes and avoid watching. I must admit that I had expected the American Idol craze, much like the Survivor craze, to have run it's course in much the way that the Who ...

Since I am fairly new around here, I would like to know how many M*A*S*H fans we have out there in JUland. To arrive at such an end, here is a quick quiz for all those mashers out there: 1. Who do you prefer as the company clerk: Radar or Klinger? 2. What is your favorite potterism? 3. Who worked his way through med school selling burial plots? 4. Name five famous people who made guest appearances on M*A*S*H. 5. Who do you prefer as commander, Henry Blake or Sherman Potter? 6. Wh...

This should come as a surprise to no one that saw the traffic jam mess the networks created on Thursdays at 8PM. Faced with Survivor, Everybody Hates Chris, The O.C. and Joey, this cult favorite which was picking up steam with its Lost lead in suddenly found itself without an audience. So, ABC, in its infinite wisdom, has decided to move Alias to a post-Lost slot for a few weeks before finding another place for it and then cancelling the series in May. We all knew this was coming. ABC put...

Definitely not politically correct stuff, but the new season of South Park has started with, well, an explosion, a flood, global warming and much, much more. Trey Parker, Matt Stone and the rest of the folks behind South Park went above and beyond with the newest episode, the season premiere, that aired originally on 10/19/05: "Two Days before the Day After Tomorrow" Just going on memory, but lets say that they were poking fun of FEMA, disaster responses in general, finger pointers that...
Has anyone watched the premier of CSI? It was fantastic as usual. I’m a meat lover and all but man if I was eating at the time while watching this show, I most certainly would have hurled! They don’t hesitate to show you the decomposing bodies or to let you see what they’re doing! Thank God I have a strong stomach! Just the sight is enough to make me gag! I guess that’s why it’s such a popular show. And even all the spin offs have become pretty popular too. Anyone who missed the...

One of my Favorite things to do three times a week is go over to my Mom's and watch Big Brother. My family gets pretty into whatever we're watching. We clap and shout, groan and cry. Yea, we're weird. We've been keeping really close tabs on this years Big Brother. When Kaysar, our favorite character, was voted off we were heart broken. Then we heard last week he might have the chance to come back. Woo hoo! Oh yea! It was America's choice. All of america got to vote on the net or a cell pho...
Has anyone seen last night’s episode? No one here in my office watches this show and I’ve not seen it on the forums and I have no one to talk about it. So anyone out there who watches this show? Last night’s episode was unbelievable! Nate is dead! Dead! I can’t believe they killed his character. I never heard anything about that. But then I haven’t read the TV Gal’s webpage in a while so I’m out of the loop. Who would have guessed that they would make a switch like that? I sa...

Heaven Album: Birds of Pray Year: 2003 Having a child has restored Ed Kowalczyk's belief in God in the meditative "Heaven." An earnest Kowalczyk says people can find faith within themselves and not have to look for it within a bible study, youth group, etc. If the person hears any arguments about the against the existence of God, they will not be persuaded. All they have to do is trust what their faith. ("You don't need no friends/get back your faith again/you have the powe...
Those who tune out all things celebrity may not know there is a scandal raging around American Idol and its perky judge Paula Abdul. Corey Clark, a second season Idol loser, claims he had a secret affair with Abdul, during which she helped him pick songs and offered other assistance in his unsuccessful singing competition bid. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not. There are certainly plenty of credibility issues to go around. • Clark was thrown off the show when an undisclosed cri...
