Yea, the cops got to his penis. Turned it on him. You slap someone around like Pee Wee did his penis, you got to expect the damn thing to turn on you. Yea, that penis was telling the cops where Pee Wee was, and what and who he was doing, in what orifice and with what thrust frequency 24 hours a day. This is not just an idle conspiracy theory dreamt up by some stoned writer in Chicago... . It's more than that. I mean, who wanted to bring PEE WEE down? He was a gay hollywood play...
This evening I will take Henry, his crate and his toys and I will load them all up in my truck. I'm not going to drive, I'm already crying and I know that I won't be in any condition to handle the road conditions right now. When I get to our destination, I will hand Henry and his accoutrements over to a man and woman who will be his new 'parents'. After saying my goodbyes, I'll get back in my truck and I'll cry all the way home. Henry isn't going to be living with us anymore.&n...
A new research states that our memories are cemented in the brain during the sleep. It was reported in LiveScience. In Massachusetts Institute of Technology, researcher Matthew Wilson thinks that this work brings closer to an understanding of the nature of animal dreams. It gives them a clue to the role of sleep in processing memories of past experiences. In his previous experiments, Matthew Wilson measured activity in rats' hippocampuses. Hippocampus is the brain's memory center ...
Sally has not talked for awhile. She misses others. But she hopes this is not going to be too sensitive to some. Sally - Momma! I miss you! Poppa is ok, and I love wrapping around his neck. But he is not you! he says you are coming home soon. Please do! Suzy, Sammy, Sampson and Serena have been to visit me. ANd I did have fun. but Momma, I do miss you! Why did you not take me with you? Poppa and I have had some good times. H...
This past week I have tried very hard to not think about Socrates, but it's been impossible. Come on, he was just a cat. But to me he was more than that. He was my friend. He was my family. There were times when he drove me nuts. There were times when he pissed me off. But there were also times when he was loving. He was family. And he was too damn young. I miss the little guy more than you can know. And I shed tears.
My heart is broken. Today Socrates dumped my coffee cup over in the floor. I set aside my laptop and started cleaning up the mess when he jumped on the laptop and broke off one of the keys from the keyboard. I was angry and yelled at him for it. I guess he was upset or scared from my yelling at him because when I opened the door to get out of the truck he jumped out. I tried to catch him but wasn't able to do so. The poor little guy ran under the wheels of another truck before I could stop...
My friend Bonny who is familiar with Quincy and loves my Quincy stories couldn't wait to send me the following story about another dog that sounds so much like Quincy Dog. Isn't it good to know you are not alone in the world? It did my heart good to read this hilarious story and know somewhere out there Quincy has someone just like him with a Mom just like me. I do take comfort that at least Quincy doesn't have a drinking problem. This is really long but totally worth it Jasper ...
It was a sunny afternoon but not too hot. Hot enough to wear shorts, singlet and no shoes, which is my favourite clothing. I’d been sitting working on a Writers Club piece, enjoying the quiet and cool of the house. A load of washing with my name on it was waiting to be pegged out, but I wasn’t in too much of a hurry to do the job. Inspiration had taken me over and I was lost in worlds of my own creation. But reality demands clean underwear and socks, so I decided to take a break and do the...
What a week this has been! I missed speaking to my friends Socrates, Pumpkin and the dawgs. My servants fooled me! They took me to this place where they did experiments on me! I know, cause there was nothing wrong. Yet they knocked me out and then opened me up! But I made them pay! I played the wounded animal so well, they took me to an all night emergency room! The man servant did not want to go, but the woman servant told him who was boss! So ...
Grace is just about full-grown now... Her first day: Bonding with the pack: She loves getting her belly rubbed: Owning a boxer has been a totally different experience than any of the dawgs I've owned before. For one, they have very unique behaviours, like 'beaning'. When they're happy, the curve themselves around into a 'c' or a kidney bean shape. Someone saw her doing this and asked us if she had something wrong with her leg. When we e...
Before we left on vacation my mom offered to take Quincy dog. She has an only child-dog as well so we thought that would be perfect for them both. Because Quincy gets in so much trouble here and there, which I've already written about, my husband was really hoping maybe she'd offer to keep him. Everyone LOVES Quincy. He's very personable and cute. Her two other dogs died earlier this year and left her third dog all alone. This now lonely dog had been howling everytime my mom came ...
Up until now I haven't purchased any treats for Socrates as I wanted him to stick to a healthy diet during his big growth stage. Now that he's 6 months old and is pretty close to his adult size (man has he grown!) I bought a package of treats while picking up some kitten food today. They're something called 'Pounce Moist Seafood Medley"" cat treats. I think we have a winner folks. He really seems to like them. He's quite polite about eating them though. If I hold it out to him with my fing...
My little gray buddy is back home from the vet's office. He doesn't seem much worse for wear. It's obvious that he's a little sore and still feeling a bit off from being put under, but otherwise doesn't seem too upset by the whole ordeal. After getting a bit of reassuring petting he wandered around to make sure home was still as he expected it to be, he enjoyed some food and water before taking up his favorite perch in the front window. He seems to be fine if moving a bit gingerly.

Our Boxer dawg, Gracie, likes to be outside. We have a tie-out for her right outside the back door, and when she's outside I leave the door open so I can see (for the most part) what she's up to. When she asked to go outside this morning, I let her out and then went to start some candy mix on the stove and make myself a cup of coffee. I figured that she'd been going outside by herself for weeks and hadn't gotten into a trouble so it'd be okay for me to leave her unattended fo...
Today is the day for Socrates to go in to be neutered. Per the vet's instructions I took up his food at 6:00 PM last evening. He was a tad upset and confused at that. He kept going over to where his food is supposed to be and then looking at me as if to say "Where's my dinner?" He'd had access to food all day but as usual only nibbled. He does most of his eating at night. As I expected he woke me fairly early this morning, wanting to be fed. Naturally he doesn't understand why there is no ...
