The Lasagnas This is a story idea for a cartoon that is a spoof not only of The Sopranos, but of every Italian-themed movie ever made. Christmas. 1985. Philadelphia. Michael Lasagna is the boss of his family and don of all restaurants in philly. He has a huge family and they all have names like Tony Pepperoni, Tira Misouco, Vinnie Minnestrone. We follow Mike Lasagna through his everyday life as he struggles with his business, his family, and being the big Cheese of the Cheeses...
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, The Sopranos where oh where art thou????? Missing Tony and the life, Yo!!!! I was watching my old Sopranos tapes and discs for the gagillionth time and wondering why in the world they took less time to make back then and were sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than the ones we get now that take a year, year and a half, or more??!!! I don't know, but this is perplexing. As a total Sopranos expert I wait for more!!!!

Saturday Night Live hasn't been funny in years. As an avid fan of the good old days when SNL kept me rolling, I keep hoping for that "new" cast that re-ignites the candle of comedy. Unfortunately, their latest antics leave me hopeless.   NBC's comedy depiction of talkradio king Rush Limbaugh passed-out in vomit from drug abuse ignited backstage outrage at SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. The animated sketch left one senior production source stunned and outraged, the DRUDGE REPORT has learne...

I was just watching the first season of Alias on DVD, and a few things struck me. In the beginning, the show was a lot more tightly plotted, and it felt a lot more taut... maybe it was because it was all new, and it hadn't hit its stride and found almost all the convenient buttons to push.... or maybe its because the stories were swinging closer to James Bond than All My Children at the time. There were cliffhangers, which are sorely lacking in some of the later episodes(and outside of mo...

Once upon a time SpikeTV filmed a short-run reality series.... one which did not make it to their fall schedule... and was thought to have been lost to vagaries of cable-tv scheduing.... and then its celebrity star passed away under strange circumstances... wonder what will become of that series now... hmmm... why do I suddenly hear the sound of a cash registers? Ok, basically, here is the skinny on this series that SpikeTV created: a contestant had to stay within 10 feet of ODB over a ser...

They say confession is good for the soul, and at this point, I could use as much cleansing for my soul as I can get, so here goes. I am a recovering soap addict... and I was over 3000 days clean of the addiction until last summer when I started seeing previews for this little show that Fox was going to be rolling out called the O.C. .... and I thought I recognized one of the actresses from this movie called Lawn Dogs with Sam Rockwell, and I had to find out if it was the same gal (whic...

As has been reported by both me and a lot of other media sources earlier, CBS/60 Minutes just happened to be at the SNL set the week of the Ashlee Simpson lip synching gaffe, and in the aftermath of the incident, Leslie Stahl interviewed the force behind Saturday Night Live, Lorne Michaels. After some rather jovial questions about the history of the show, and how he was perceived by some who had left the show, he was asked the questions we all wanted to know about. First he was asked ...

I was just watching Eminem perform Mosh on SNL.... and it sounded WAY too close to the video version. I mean, it was almost exactly the same as what was on the video, and at one point I could have sworn he pulled the mike away from his mouth, and he was still singing(it might have been his own backing vocal though). I can't prove it conclusively, but it looked like he was. The irony is that SNL has been really ripping into Ashlee Simpson all show.... and if he did lip synch, well, it makes...

In the summer of 2000, after 5 years of development, Kevin Smith's animated spinoff of his first film, Clerks , premiered on ABC.... and lasted two out-of sequence episodes... and I loved it then. Of course, for most tv series, that would have been the end.... they would have been merely a speck of roadkill on the side of the network superhighway, but for Kevin Smith... after so much investment... it couldn't be the end. In late 2001, he released the 6 existing episodes of the show on vid...
I didn't watch the show so I guess this is a late post considering its 9/21 2004 and the show aired Aug 31. Straight from MSN TV "Father of the Pride" NBC, Tuesday 9 p.m. ET/PT Premieres Aug. 31 NBC takes an ambitious leap into computer-generated animation with this series from DreamWorks, currently flexing its CGI muscle with "Shrek 2." This small screen comedy captures the domestic travails of a family of white tigers featured in Siegfried and Roy's Las Vegas animal act, with ...
A Word of Warning* If you haven'twatched Joe Schmo 2 , and you plan on seeing it in the near future, Iadvise you that there are SPOILERS here! “Jackpot!” It was a single word, but the moment it was spoken, a whole series became worththe production costs. It was also just the sort of reaction the producers of JoeSchmo 2 had wanted from Tim, one of their unwitting contestants. With ahalf-smile on his face, he managed to nullify the fears of the whole staff ofthe show, fears that h...

Warning: There are spoilers in this summary, though not too many. I was a big fan of Smallville Season 1 and 2, however, the show is seems to be wearing very thin. Season 3 had some absolutely AMAZING episodes... However, most of these amazing episodes all centered around the struggle between Lex and Lionel (his father). A couple episodes featured Clark kicking ass, and he developed more as a character, but for the most part, he's still a pretty two-dimensional character who has quite a bi...
I watched Dateline 's (boring as Dateline usually is) 2-hour farewell to Friends episodetonight. In one section, Katie Couric went "behind the scenes" andtalked to the below-the-line talent that has helped put the showtogether over the last 10 years. While she talked to the setdesigner, she tried to pry the ending out of him. Though he wouldn'tgive it up, he did cryptically have this to say (paraphrased): "It ends with a beautiful view out of a hotel window....

Summary: Lionel seems to be coming closer to learning Clark's secret, and goes to Dr. Swann for help. Meanwhile, it seems that Jonathan is somehow communicating with Jor-El, and the consequences of the deal the two of them made are coming to the forefront. Thoughts: Blech. Nothing special. It has Christopher Reeve in it which is good. But it just didn't really go anywhere. Raises lots of questions but not very self contained.
I am super pumped for the apprentice tonight! I really hope Kwami (sp?) wins, although Omorsa keep screwing him over. Now I am not a violent person, but I wan't to punch her in the face. She is so irresponsible and such a damn liar. She ruins everyone that comes in contact with her. If Kwami does not win, it will largely be based on her I think. Who do you want to win and why?
