Cruising on Wikipedia I came across the first portable computer aka a wannabe laptop, the Osborne 1. Its intial cost was US $1795.00 and it came with US $1500.00 in software. It ran the CP/M 2.2 Operating System, It had no onboard battery so you had to plug it in wherever you went. The display was a 5 inch screen and use of single sided, single density floppies x 4.

Excerpts from the article:

Ok i LOOKED up the nations of the world by size my list will devide them by fourths Wide, average, tall I mean small, and minor. This proves if tall nations can compete with wide nations. You got to understand a lot of countries are out there, and different people have different ideas what a country is. there are 257 countries on the first list. When you first look on the wide list it doesn't make sense China is bigger than the United states. If you added everything the US owns including all it'...
So I recently got a 4K projector for my home theater.  It's a Epson Cinema 4010 and on paper, it's a 4K HDR projector.  I have connected it to my Apple TV 4K and that's when I started to realize that HDR is still not fully ready for prime time for most people.

Here's some background:

Color TV is in color...but barely.  We are used to it but it's actually pretty crappy.  Luckily, we don't realize how crappy it is until we see something like HDR which stands for High Dyna...

I am a bit of a board game nut, so I wanted to start a thread discussing some of my favorites. I want to know what you play, and why - the more games I get to try out, the happier I am! My shelves downstairs in the game room are starting to get a little crowded, haha.

Some of my top favorites are: Victorian Masterminds, DC Deck Builder, Takenoko, Splendor, Azul, Century...the list could go on for pages, but I'll truncate it there.

What are YOU playing?

What's your favorite film in the MCU? Favorite character?

Personally, I love the majority of them and it makes it difficult to pick just one. As excited as I am to see Endgame and the conclusion of 10 years of films, I also hate goodbyes, lol. I've grown attached to the characters and the actors who have played them.

I think, as a film, Winter Soldier may be the best put together. But from a pure action and enjoyment standpoint, I really love The Avengers.

When I'm not here [shock-horror...sometimes I'm not]... I'm a Race Official FIA/FIM [Formula 1 - MotoGP - SBK] .

Here's me at Albert Park, Opening event of the 2019 F1 Calendar.  I'm the one in the jacket - each badge on it is a one year service badge.  There are 34 of them...I got the 35th 2 days later...

This was actually my 40th Australian GrandPrix in a row, one of only 4 or 5 who have made it that far.

An update on me. Just got back from seeing my cancer doc. Mine is stage 3b adenocarcinoma. Non small cell lung cancer and I'm going to be treated systemically (I think that's what it's called) with Keytruda. My doctor says the markers needed are there, which is a good thing. However being that it is stage 3 it won't go away forever and I'll have to deal with it as is. I'm going to be getting a port installed (good choice of words?) beneath my right shoulder simply because it'll be easier than st...

This popped up on the news a couple of hours ago. Two well known actresses, a co-founder of a global law firm and other assorted very rich people shelled out millions of dollars to get their kids into elite colleges. Why am I not surprised.

I get these errors every time I try to install the latest Windows 7 updates. Google hasn't revealed much info to how to cure the issue, I've done everything I know how to do to solve it. Any ideas? I'm trying to install updates KB915597, KB4486563 and KB4486565.
The first expansion pack to Star Control: Origins, Earth Rising, is broken into 4 parts that is being delivered as a season pass (that is, a new part every season).  The first part, Aftermath, was released in December and added a whole new region of space to explore, as well as new quests for your crew and the beginning of Earth's journey into being an interstellar power.

Part 2 is arriving soon and it concerns itself mostly on the mysterious Lexites. The Lexites first appeared in Dawn o...

Lots to go over this month so I will do my best to keep it short.

## NEW Ashes Game ##

We are about to announce a new game in the Ashes of the Singularity universe.  It's in the tower defense genre.  This originally was going to be released as a DLC for Ashes but the gameplay changes required made it impossible to keep it part of the same EXE so it's being released as a stand-alone game.  Lifetime Founders of Ashes will get this added automatically.
