Well, since I am big into cleaning up the planets environment, I am curious if anyone else drives a Hybrid or Electric Vehicle? I had a 2012 Chevy Volt Premium but sold it and got myself a 2017 Chevy Bolt EV Premium with less than 4,000 miles on it. It was a GM Executive vehicle and now it's mine! Love it!

I don't own anything now that runs on gas! Electric/Battery on everything!

So this is my question...

We have a game going since 2009, the ban game. Very popular too, people come from all over the place to ban stuff. Another popular game was the Borg game. It got kinda tired and retired. So, since it is pumpkin season why not a game for the holiday called the Pumpkin game and instead of using Borg we use Patch. For example...I am Pumpkin so and so of Patch, make me a pie. Or some such. I dunno, it sounded good at the time.

I know I'm not as active as I once was but I'm lurking daily.

It's crazy that the babiies of memebers when I started out here are now in high-school.

Great products brought me here and great people kept me here.

Many thanks to T-Man, _Andrew, Nickie, SexyMat, KarmaGirl, Nakor, and of course Frogboy for all they've done at the WinCustomize and Stardock forums.

As the Tywom like to say, HELLO, BEST FRIENDS!

Just playing the start of a new GalCiv III v3.1 game with the Star Control DLC added.  Let's take a look at what we can expect.

The Setup

Players have been asking for a way to customize the colors further than what was possible before and now they can do it.  So if you're into ship designing, you're in for a real treat!

Here is my super tame but very custom color scheme.

This upcoming Monday, Stardock will be releasing a new DLC for its massive space strategy game, Galactic Civilizations III.

The new DLC, Heroes of Star Control: Origins, will introduce 4 new major civilizations to play as complete with their own ship styles, parts, new traits, diplomatic behaviors, and AI for $5.99.

It'll be available to purchase on Steam, GOG, and of course GalCiv3.com, starting Monday afternoon EST, November 12.

I can't post a reply from Internet Explorer, yet I can from Chrome and Edge.

Anyone else with this issue?

Anyone have any ideas other than clear the cache, which I have already done?

It all started with Chrome acting up more than usual. It took its time opening and going to other sites and sometimes it would hang. I've gotten used to it by now. Then it gets updated and things go south in a hurry. After a bit with Chrome open it suddenly decided not to work. Wouldn't scroll, couldn't use the scroll bar, click on sites in the bookmark bar and nothing happens. The only things working are the min/max close buttons, that's it.

   I close the browser thin...
Over on the GalCiv III Steam page, I asked players to post their saved games so I could check them out.  And what I've been finding has been amazing and horrifying simultaneously.

Players are able to do things that I wouldn't have thought of.  This is why saved games are so valuable.  Many times I get feedback from players who say "The AI needs to do X" and my answer is, "well of course, it already does that!" But there is some other thing that it ha...

Recently, I shared an intro to customizing your Windows desktop. This time, I wanted to do the same type of article, but put the focus on desktop productivity apps.

Organize your desktop icons with Fences
Fences is one of our most popular apps for a productive desktop. Fences allows you to create fenced off areas on your desktop that you can place your icons in to organize them how you like. Fence can be customized with colors and transparency, and can also be rolled-up to save space on...

Just updated ASC to version 12 and IObit's Uninstaller to version 8. They've been busy. Second screenshot shows the new GUI with the animation and the first I didn't believe until I saw it. With Uninstaller v8 you can now uninstall the program by right clicking on the desktop icon, systray icon and another I don't remember lol.

Windows customization has come a long way since it first started to become popular many, many years ago. It has also changed significantly during that time, with different apps coming and going throughout the years. Even though some styles and techniques have changed, there is a still a want and need to customize the Windows desktop to fit your own personal style.

There are many ways to get this done, but today I wanted to write up a quick intro guide for new users who want to get started wit...
